in England 90% of the schools have to wear uniform.. which is a total boo! but college and university (which are two different things here) is where u get to flex ur style muscles.

It is very strange when a grown woman wants to wear school girl clothes as fashion. I went to a junior high where I wore a uniform for four years and that was enough for me.

okay, i see her now! i actually like the last look…a lot! it’s cool but Rihanna’s look is from that wave (it was almost two years ago) of preppie chic. It’s an old trend now and while you might see some androgynous things or classic pieces, it’s certainly not a look you’d want to go for so literally. Not now. Not in my opinion. Tianna, you know, you need to step it up. You did a great post recently…but you’re off so much that… I’ll just leave it there… Brian is dead weight and I think he’s here merely because he’s got great social skills and women love gay men so he can get female stars to open up but his reviews are absolutely useless and I just think you’re right there with him. If I had to grade you it would be a very low D.

When I said I liked the last look I mean the last picture of the thin (model?) in the set of three flashing images. That is a really interesting look!

the entire point of uniforms is to take the children’s minds off of “fashion” and to make them focus more on learning. this is especially important when it comes to uppity wanna be “glam” slaves accessorizing their uniforms to tacky death and then looking down their noses at other kids who can’t afford to tacky up their uniforms like the rest. they end up feeling even more inadequate and poor than they probably already do and it distracts from the reason they’re actually in school.

Well, I, on the hand absolutely adore the prep school look. And Tianna really produced awesome examples of the prep look including fall trends like the slouch trousers, plaid and chains. And I love love love love oxford pumps!!

Btw, it’s great to have an opinion concerning the content of the post, but you can’t hate for putting out what’s hot right now. It’s funny that the grade was a D, but the posts are still faithfully being read…I’m just saying

oh wow. well i can say that i have seen the prep look a lot in my city, so i can’t really agree that the style is out of date. and it’s fair to keep in mind that some trends come and go a little more frequently than others. i never thought i would see leggings again, but people wear them faithfully as they did about 5 years ago and then of course in the 80’s. Tianna - i actually think this is a good review and i want to tell CL thanks for all the great posts. from the fashion to the politics to the history posts. just good stuff all the way around! And i’m not a rihanna fan, but i agree that this chic has a great style.

Seriously? Uniforms are for GRADE SCHOOL… I’m damn near out of college and you posting uniforms? I’m not trying to discredit you as a reviewer but seriously, where was the REALITY judgment on this post? Why would mature, individualistic women want to wear this? I mean, isn’t that supposed to be your demographic? Wow… this post sums up why fashion isn’t an art anymore. Its just another part of the mass-production society we live in that thrives off the checks of the mindless. I give up (no really, I think I do)!

ummm honestly, if ur a college student, which im assuming most of the CL demographic is, u don’t have time 2 fashionize urself & accessorize & jump in the car & try & beat traffic & get 2 class because u have an exam @ 7 am. U just throw on them damn jeans & sweats & go. really.

Nat, I totally agree with you. Students go to school to get an education not a practical in stylish dressing. CL, I hope to see a post with some useful back to school tips for your school age readers. After you have finished dressed them for success, equip with with guidance that would allow them to shine academically.

I work at forever21 and we did a floorset I was so confused as to why we were naming the sections after school activities of grade levels or popularity contest and now I realize this fashion. I mean fashion is a work of art in itself sometimes you like it and sometimes you turn your head and go “HUH!”. i WORE A school uniform from 4th all the way til 7th grade I think I’m good on this seasons fashion trend….lol num 38 I use to watch that show all the time and she SURE DID

i mean, unless i’ve stumbled onto a blog for grade schoolers, wtf? but i must say it is keeping in line w/ the oh so cookie cutter style trends that are usually posted on this blog. nobody’s original anymore. it’s all about reproducing the same look as someone else. rhianna’s hairstyle, rhianna’s furry vest, beyonce’s handbag, chanel iman’s boots (that barely fit her boney ass), etc. it’s ridiculous.
