I agree with everyone who said her voice sounds forced. Sounds a little bit like she’s strangling to me, and singing flat. I don’t like the track either, it sounds like it was made with a Casio keyboard. Lastly I do not like the lyrics, they are all over the place.

I think this is another artist they are going to try to shove down our throats. There are tons of underground artists out right now who sound WAY better than Solange but they can’t get any recognition. With that said, I’m going to go ahead and buy the cd ONLY because I want to make a statement that this “different” sound sells, so that other, more talented artists, might be given a chance.

I love when she starts dancing all crazy in the yellow feathered coat and she definitely needed a visual for that particular song BUT I think she erred in directing it herself…she said something in an interview about this video being all her and it’s painfully obvious. The only remotely inspired parts are mere rehashings of Melina’s work in the first video. The progression is halted…the scenes don’t overlap smoothly and each shot seems pretty unfinished…it’s just her and a green screen so maybe that’s why. and the soup can…duh, Solange…anymore pop culture cliches?

I almost got those same glasses at Forever 21.. although I’m sure hers are more expensive lol.

well we know what decades she’s into as far as sound the ’60’s and ’70’s shes taking it old school, she has a nice sound, kinda of what amy winehouse does, good stuff, will most def cop that album. oh and i love the way that not a lot of the post here mention big sis beyonce, but just solange in her own right.
