MICHELLE SPEAKS ON ALBUM PUSH-BACK
Michelle Williams, former Destiny’s Child bandmate is speaking out about her album push-back. She doesn’t seem too pleased. But then again, why would she? She reference’s Solange’s song, “F*ck the Industry (Signed Sincerely),” so, yeah, that should tell you something. The singer’s third solo project, Unexpected, which is a departure from her other gospel projects, has been pushed back from an August 12th release to drop on October 9th.
This is very unfortunate, considering that a lot of the material from Unexpected has already leaked. Michelle has a pretty solid project to deliver, so I hope this doesn’t mess anything up with her.
CASSIE’S ALBUM DUE OUT EARLY ’09
Bad Boy has exclusively revealed to our good friends at Rap-Up.com that Cassie’s sophomore album, which is still untitled, is set to drop early next year, when we were previously promised a fall release. I think that’s what’s best, considering that “Official Girl” didn’t jump off as they’d hoped.
A sneak peek clip of the “Official Girl” video, featuring Lil’ Wayne, will debut on MTV’s FNMTV on August 22nd. I’m glad, but meanwhile, they need to be choosing a second single for Cassie to keep the buzz going, considering these Diddy relationship rumors haven’t even been able to keep her afloat.
Will some of you please stop that “black folk need to support/their own worse enemy/we hate on our own” nonsense. Why is everything about race?!?!? If people don’t like it, they don’t like. The color of one’s skin doesn’t equate to the same musical taste for pete’s sake.
I personally don’t like any of Michele’s songs. With that raspy voice, I feel she should do things that are more along the style of Tina Turner. Private Dancer, We Don’t Need Another Hero and Proud Mary. She’d kill.
I do have a question though. When your favorite artist like Beyonce tries something different she is praised. When another artist like Solange, Michelle and even Kelly try something different some of you slam them like they stole something from you. Calling them boring and bitches. Why isn’t it applied to Beyonce?

I’m rooting for Michelle but I have to admit, I’m not too fond of her voice and I know many other people aren’t either. Everybody can’t sing everything. If Michelle is good at gospel, stick to gospel. If Kelly is good at singing dance music or ballads, do that. If Solange is good at alternative and motown music, do that (she’s weird enough for that). Bey seems to be good at pop- pop is more popular than the other genre’s of music so she cant help but be more successful.
NOw if I can figure that out and I’m not a music exec, cant Papa Knowles and his camp promote Michelle and Kelly in music they’re good at? AS much as the Knowles tell Kelly and Michelle, “we love you guys”, you are like sisters and daughters to me”, blah, blah, blah, Papa Knowles always shows Kelly and Michelle, he will always and forever only look out for his real daughters, Solange and Beyonce (minus the other kids out there he has that he does not claim- oops, did I slip out a family secret on yall???).

I find that to be strange coincidences too how B’day was suddenly available for pre-order during LeToya’s time and suddenly the Beyonce Experience comes out the same day “As I Am” was being released. When Michelle’s album gets ready to drop I’m Beyonce’s video will be aired and her pre-order sales will be available again. It will be another coincidence on behalf of Mr. Knowles.

Terrance Howard has a very unique style not saying its the best I’ve heard, but it will do for now. lol He needs to tighten up his vocals though. His vocals aren’t that strong but you can tell he focuses really on the music.
Cassie on the other hand, Diddy can forward, push back, reverse, or whatever with her album she still gonna sound terrible. I don’t care how much he tries to cloud her voice she doesn’t have enough talent to stay in the game. Really she’s irrelevant, Diddy is trying to push the sexy but its not going to work.
