I love him for his style and his rap game. Others come close, but he is the King of this and he is because not only is he a prolific rapper, he has swagger and leadership. You have to cover all grounds - not just lyrics (which he has for dayzzzzzz). Anytime he doesn’t have anything current out DJs will spin his old stuff or put old raps of his on new stuff to make a remix. He’s a legend for a reason - rap needs him.

In regards to the song:

I don’t like the beat. It sounds like “A Milli” 80’s throwback. Ironic also that “The Blueprint 3″ is coming out right after “The Carter 3″. I think the “best rapper alive” title that he is so often attributed to is making him thirsty to outdo the other rappers who are selling a milli in a weekend. This song is about other people jocking him. It’s finny when people make a song about “haters”. If they really had no merit of influence in your life, then why are you making an entire song dedicated to them?

I don’t like it. However old you are … best rapper alive or whatever you claim to be … back it up.

In regards to his career:

It’s not up to us to determine what he wears, says, or does. But if he is near 40, and he is as successful as he is, why not help the community you came from and write up some lyrics that will uplift and encourage, and lift us out of this mental enslavement of money, sex, cars, drugs, flashing, etc. to where you are …. unless, of course … you haven’t been lifted out yourself.

Jay’s done more than enough and counting for his community and others - QUIETLY. Some stuff gets broadcasted, others don’t. He’s done tributes to Sean Bell as well as established college funds for his kids, his lengthy charity work, saved a village of people by supplying water, did the Opening Song for Barack Obama for his MASSIVE Ohio gathering, annual scholarship funds and x-mas drives. And so much more…..

Unlike these other mc’s who are chasing his name, fame and fortune and doing nothing. Yeah, I’m Jockin Jay-Z - he deserves to be jocked.
