I hope that they will release all of the other seasons now. The bad part is….is shouldn’t take something like this for them to do so.

oh my goodness, something big/gigantic/enormous must be about to happen to the world b/c god has been calling home a lot of his amazing people to live with him up in heaven. this is truly truly a shock, i cnt believe this actually happened. me and my mother watch his show everyday after work and laugh, and now i cnt even seem to smile. wat a shame…but i know that he wouldnt want us [his fans] to stop smiling/laughing he’d want us to continue to laugh for him in remembrance of him…lets all remember he isn’t really gone just absent from this life.

This is terribly upsetting news. Bernie Mac was one of my favorite comedians, and I watch The Bernie Mac Show every night.

My prayers are with his family, and with all of us because we’ve all lost someone special today.

His particular brand of humor and acting talent cannot be replaced. He was loved by many, certainly by me.

This doesn’t seem real…I’m in total shock. Just a few wks ago I was lucky enough to attend a screening of Soul Men….he was hilarious in this movie. Him and Samuel Jackson had me in tears.

I’m truly gonna miss Bernie Mac. RIP my condolences go out to his family n friends. This is crazy….

To have such a great TALENT such as Bernie here on this earth. He was simply “THE TRUTH” & he made it so damn funny (love him or hate him for telling it like it is). When you hear news that he is SICK, you start praying that he will pull through it again (like the first time he was really sick & hospitalized), when he gets sick again years later and you hear that he passes away but it turns out to be a RUMOR, you are relieved it was a LIE but you pray even harder for him to pull through it again. But at the same time, it felt differnt this time. I still had this weird feeling that something still wasn’t gonna be like the last time he got sick (really weird feeling). When my brother carried the news home from what he heard from the outside today, it was a SHOCK (no one wants to believe it of course & naturally) but at the same time, he was sick & been in the hospital battling pnuemonia so…we all knew it was a possibility he would leave us. It hurts but at the same time, he is no longer suffering with this illness, he isn’t in pain anymore. He lost his mom to cancer when he was a teenager & one thing he promised her was that he would be a comedian & thats what he did.

He gave us years & years & so many years of laughter here on earth. He left us with so much to remember him by. I think he did what he was born to do, & now it was time for him to go back home reunite with his mom & keep the laughter going over there, along with Red fox, Robin Harris, Richard Pryor & the rest of the comics who have passed on.

I almost died from pneumonia at age 31 (and no, I’m NOT HIV positive), so I KNOW how serious this can be. We he wasn’t out of the hospital after 7 days, I got REAL worried.

This is just sad on too many levels to count.

I just heard about this this morning from a customer at my job. I was so shocked and felt bad. I’m always bashing people on blogs but I had no problem with Berney. he was really cool and funny and had some really good movies roles. He seemed so young. I thought he was like 38. This is a shame and it just shows us that life is too short!

I’m in shock right now. Life is truely too short. RIP to a true legend.

I heard about his passing this morning and it really has me saddened. I wish his family peace and encouragement to move forward. He will truly be missed by all. He had so much more to give the world and it will be hard realizing that we will never see his fullness of his work.

I had the pleasure of being in the same room as Mr. Bernie Mac, the man had one of the most beautiful and calming smiles I have ever seen. I spent the better part of my morning in an absolute cloud of shock and sadness. You made so many laugh and smile, and you brought so much hope to those who come from similar struggles as both human beings and creative artists. Thank you Mr. Mc Collough for being a great source of enjoyment and entertainment in addition to being a beautiful human being.

This is one post where I read EVERYONE’s comment- a lot of us took this hard (for whatever personal reason) hopefully we all learn something and appreciate life and loved ones more.

Another thing- 200 something posted msgs and none of us (that I know of) personally knows him and we ALL feel that he was genuinely a nice person and we just suffered a loss.

Bernie Mac was a comedic genius with a style like no other and I don’t remember which on of yall said it- but he was very big on old fashion upbringing of children and valued a good family structure.

A great strong black man-gone but will not be forgotten.

Everytime I think about it my eyes get watery. Bernie was a true talent who could make you laugh over and over again. My condolenses go out to his family and friends and the fans who loved him.
