According to CNN, Soul singer and actor Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar for the theme from the 1971 action film “Shaft,” has died.
Relatives found Hayes, 65, unconscious in his Tennessee home next to a still-running treadmill, said Steve Schular, a spokesman for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department. Paramedics attempted to revive him and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 2 p.m., the sheriff’s department said.
No foul play is suspected, the agency said in a written statement.
Coincidently, Issac Hayes is co-starring in the upcoming movie Soul Men with Bernie Mac, who passed away on Saturday from Pneumonia.
Rest In Peace to a true legend and he will be missed by all. This a sad weekend for black hollywood.

OMG, just reading some of these folks dumbazz comments make me laff……….believing in all that superstitious shyt. If it’s your time to go, then you’re going and nothing can stop it. If you haven’t notice, celebrities seems to always pass away in 2′s or 3′s, don’t know why. I’m still devastated by Bernie’s passing and now Isaac, it is sad, but we can’t live forever.

Like everyone, I’m stunned at the deaths of two greats, Bernie Mac and now Issac Hayes. It’s just unbelievable. There are some celebs I wont name who are often highlighted on Concreteloop who always run around signing this deal and that deal, that endorsement and that endorsement, etc. Of what value is any of that when a man loses his soul? All those millions and billions mean nothing when it comes down to your life.
Focus on getting your life right with God while you’re alive instead of running around chasing money because money cant buy you life.

Hope there is not a blasphemous reference about God in the movie. That is what happened to the Titanic when it was said that God can’t sink it. If it is, then a curse may be the case. I hope that Bernie was able to clean up his words, after the Obama incident. I just hate to see this happen to both men.
