While I know intellectually that not all white people are racist, I believe that the majority are. Most whites at least have the common sense to keep their racism at home. I am from Montreal and it saddens me to see that it has to come to this.

Our officers our trigger happy when it comes to minorities. It’s a shame, before the summer even started there were two major deaths cause my shootings within the same week. Involving two young men who lost their lives either immediately or a few days later and nothing has been done. Why? Because Montreal youth, including myself refuse to speak to the police. The majority are ignorant. Living in Montreal isn’t easy not only your ethnic background can be held against you but the language you choose to speak as well.

I pray for the family of Freddy… just as I have prayed for many others. Hopefully justice will be serve because police have no right to be shooting unarmed people, especially a young man who so much planned for his life.

I live in Canada and its funny but shameful how Canada plays down racism..we have a huge problem with racism and police brutality. My sister works as a child and youth worker and one of the Bi-polar clients she worked with a teen, has a breakdown and went to a local pharmacy store with a gun threatening to hurt himself or other ppl or he threatened to rob the store. The police were called in Toronto and and he was outside holding the gun and the cops shot him 8 times paralyzing him..what was the need to shoot a mentally ill youth 8 times almost killing him I mean he did drop the gun after like the first shot and they purposely shot him in his spine. Cops actually challenge guys to fight with them in allies take off their badges and everything. Gang violence is really bad here for the youth in impoverished neighborhoods. There are around 200 shootings within months. Canda needs to take a note from the U.S and help their own ppl..we are loosing in the olympics because we suck and sports and arts are extremely under funded here same with our highschools in urban neighborhoods which is why over 50% of black youth in Canada drop out of highschool.
