ROUNDUP: KANYE & JAMIE FOXX SHOW OBAMA SUPPORT / DIDDY ON THE GAS PRICES / BEYONCE & TINA SPEAK ON SOLANGE

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Kanye West and Jamie Foxx performed at a party in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday night sponsored by Bono’s ONE anti-poverty campaign and the Recording Industry Association of America.

The event drew celebrities including Forest Whitaker and Ashley Judd, who arrived with Foxx waving an American flag. Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey, former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner and former South Dakota Sen. Tom Daschle also walked the red carpet.

“It’s an incredible time to be around. I wish my momma could have seen this day,” Kanye said as he spoke about Barack Obama being the first African-American Democratic Nominee.

Jamie Foxx then joined West onstage and delivered what was easily the strangest Obama song dedication at this week’s Democratic National Convention.

“We make history, man,” Foxx declared at the ONE campaign party. “With Obama, we make history. If you ready for Obama, make some noise. Yo man, let’s do this for Obama.” [VIEW VIDEO OF CELEB ARRIVALS]

DIDDY on the gas prices

Diddy, who is no stranger to controversy has been getting some backlash for his recent blog about the high gas prices. The media mogul says he has to pay too much to fill up his private jet, so he is forced to fly commercial. A lot of bloggers and youtube viewers jumped on him for his statements, which prompted him to leave a new updated message:

Attention all media and hate bloggers. This blog is just me making a joke about gas prices. Loosen up.

On Diddy — anybody care. Example of Hood-Rich. other Celeb’s are flying commercial, but not making public annoucements.

Beyonce/Solange says mommy-Tina taught them everything about beauty.

(shissh — she forgot to teach them good Posture during an interview)

They look Grand otherwise.

One thing Diddy can’t buy…and that’s class. He’s such an a$$h0!e. Talk about Bitcha$$ness. He is the epitome of it. Complaining about fuel to fill his private jet and folks barely have enough money to fill up 13 gallons in a car….What a clown!

Now that’s real family for you. Solidarity in their love, reverance, and honor for one another and they let Solange be who God created HER to be. Love the Knowles and how they show their love and respect for each other.

Honestly I am not surprised about Kanye at the DNC convention and I know his mother would be proud!!! As for Diddy..if his rich ass can’t afford to fill up his jet that is a sign that we are in serious damn trouble…and his blog was funny and real as it gets. I hear you Diddy can someone send me some oil too(LOL) As for the Knowles family gotta love the family unity and I love how Solange and Beyonce are polar opposites!

Nice Bee and her mom are supporting Solonge. But I expected nothing less, they are a close fam. I have always respected Solonge for doing her own thing.

As for Diddy, I think people took that way way way 2 serious.

I do not understand how B and tina could be proud of solange. I would be embarassed. This is the second time I have watched solange go off on an interviewer. Even if they are asking about b’s personal life, there is a funny and charming way to move away from the subject. For her attitude alone I will not be purchasing her album. She needs an attitude adjustment and it’s not b’s fault that she is more interesting than solange. I guess people would rather talk about b’s bedroom than discuss solange’s album.
