T.I.’s Paper Chase hasn’t even dropped yet and I’ve lost track of all the tracks that have dropped. Although, I do remember hearing that T.I.’s new single was to feature no one else but Little Miss Sunshine, Rihanna. They are supposedly performing this song at this year’s MTV VMA’s. This wasn’t really what I was expecting from this track. Hopefully, it’ll grow on me.

So far, I really am digging everything that I’ve heard from Brandy’s upcoming album, Human. With all the new material that’s leaking, the track is turning out to be a pretty solid effort. “Porcelain Doll” is a really cool midtempo track. Not going to make any promises or predictions with the production credits, because at this point, it could be anybody.

Here’s new music from Christina Milian, who is currently working on a new album, a follow up to her last solo set, So Amazin’, which wasn’t really that spectacular of an album. “One Kiss” was produced by Midi Mafia, and it looks as though Milian is setting out for a more pop sound, considering the dance direction of this new song.

Although John Legend just released the video for his first single, the Andre 3000-assisted “Green Light,” he has already put out his second single, “If You’re Out There,” from his third studio album, Evolver. There is something about this song that I absolutely love, and I’ve never really even been a John Legend fan. The song has a very worldly, international feel.

This John Legend track reminds me so much of Phil Collins. Love the song, and how appropriate…He sang it at the DNC(Democratic National Convention) . This is a unity song, something that my culture, country and world needs and deserves. Good LucK John on your international/edorsement success.

I know T.I. is pissed at all his music being leaked but I will buy the cd if I like the songs but this song is not good. I am still loving Swag Like Us that is my theme song for the rest of the year now. If I only figure out to take Weezy part off.

Did anybody else recognize the beginning sample of that T.I. song from that youtube video that got all those hits? It was this fat white dude lip syncing to some annoying song lol. That simple caught me off guard but T.I. is the hottest out right now. Lil Wanye is messed up in the head and he spends most of his time ramblin bout stuff that makes no sense *See A Milli or Swagga Like Us* Kanye has hot moments but that T-Pain voice thing has got to stop *See Swagga Like Us or Put On* T.I. is the truth. Rihanna sounds good on this song. This track caters to her voice and I liked it.

1.T.I. feat. Rihanna – Surprisingly this work! Didn’t know what would come of this collabo, or that it would even happen. But the beat goes hard…when the bass line drops and Rihanna goes, “So live your life!” I was like Oh! Good song, message, collabo, good sh*t! And the hook is very fitting for Rihanna, “Ain’t got time for no haters, just living my life!” I like that T.I. is talking about other things outside of the “Trap.” Listen carefully, dude it spittin’ some knowledge (not discrediting anything he’s done or haven’t done in the past).
2.Brandy – Nice mid tempo track. Brandy’s coming with that heat. Definitely a fresh take on the whole, “I ain’t taking it no more, I’m leaving you,” song topic. Very creative, “looking like a porcelain doll, no expression at all…” I really like that. Not sure who did this track, but I’m definitely glad her and Rodney Jerkins is back together, he’s her Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis and she’s he’s Janet. Work so well together. They both are responsible for each other’s success musically, IMO. ‘Human’ just might be what ‘Never Say Never’ was 10 years back. Looking forward to the album.

3.Christina Milian – Not a bad at all. I’m pretty sure this isn’t her single, (I hope) because I not sure if it would get the attention of the masses, but definitely a dance hit. I wonder who’s involved in her project outside of Midi Mafia. I hope this time around she takes a chance and explore with different sounds and styles (it seems as if she will with this track). I really think once she finds her comfort zone, this girl would be force to reckon with it. She has a good voice and the look, she just needs a style and sound that sets her apart. I wish her the best.
I definitely know this girl can bring some heat, see “Twisted,” “Gonna Tell Everybody” from ‘So Amazin’’ album and “Highway,” from ‘It’s About Time.”
4.John Legend – This song reminds me of the song “Coming Home,” from his last album ‘Once Again.’ (Although I prefer that over this). I like it and then I don’t, it get’s kind of boring and drawn out. I really like how he stuck to what he knew, but also took a chance with “Green Light,” and Andre 3000. That is definitely going to make its mark in the international market. With that being said, I see why he released both singles at once, as he needed to be sure not to loose his core audience. Adult/Contemporary radio will spin this, especially after it being played at the DNC last night.
Brandy’s the only one of this list I’m interested in, and WOW this is REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE
