Cycle 11 contestant Isis (CWTV)
So everybody has been going apenuts over America’s Next Top Model Cycle 11 after it was revealed that one of the contestants Isis – is a transgender female.
Well it really blew my mind because this is my former hang out buddy from high school!
Boy you can imagine the phone calls I received from the rest of my past H.S classmates, but I find pretty hilarious that she has the world going crazy over this. Isis you better keep working it, and screw Fox News!

NBC announced this week that actors and real life married couple Angela Bassett & Courtney B. Vance will guest star on a multiple episodes of ER as it approaches it’s final season:
Courtney B. Vance, Bassett’s real-life spouse, has taken a recurring role for the NBC drama’s 15th and last season. He’ll be playing the husband of Bassett’s character, a new attending physician at County General.
“We are excited to see the on-screen chemistry and emotion this incredibly talented husband and wife team will bring to our show,” executive producer David Zabel says. “Fans are in for a treat, and we couldn’t be more thrilled that they chose ‘ER’ to make their first [TV] appearance together.” SOURCE

FISHBURNE JOINS CSI

Replacing William Petersen, Emmy & Tony winner Laurence Fishburne will become a leading regular on CSI, playing a forensics scientist with a secret:
“I am elated and delighted to be joining the cast of ‘CSI,’ ” Fishburne said in a statement, adding that he looked forward to a “wonderful collaboration” with those involved in the series.
Fishburne plays a college lecturer and former pathologist who is focused on why people commit acts of violence. SOURCE
Fishburne is one of my favorite actors so, I may start tuning in. Catch the series premiere of CSI on CBS October 9th @ 9pm.

Tyra and her publicity stunts. I knew it wouldn’t take long for this to happen. How much you wanna bet no matter how bad he does on the show, he will be in the bottom three if not the actual winner. I’d be pissed if I were one of the actual women on the show cause you already know the show will be focused around him for ratings.

Tyra knows what to do to stay relevent. This chick Isis was one of the back ups in the 1st shoot of last season when the models had to be homeless. Tyra even mentioned that Isis was serving it up in the background when she was judging one of the girls pics. T.V. is all about gimmicks and wow factor. I wanna work for Diddy has a transgender contestant and now Top Model, which is more popular, has one as well. I had no idea though that you knew her Angel.

Tyra is always appearing to be this great role model that is all about women’s empowerment and embracing everyone for who they are,but the truth of the matter is, I feel she is using her celeb status as a platform to slowly but surely give exposure to the things that continue to confuse and corrupt society. All things are permissible but not everything is beneficial to man.

Angela Bassett, Courtney B. Vance, and Laurence Fishburne are amazing actors so I am very happy for all of them. ER is still one of the best dramas ever on television so while I am sad that this is the final season I am also happy that the writing is still great up to this day.
I don’t know about the transgender being on top model but I might check it out.

I couldn’t believe that people were reporting this on the yahoo and aol news headlines… now FOX news? Are you f*cking serious? He is a female now and nothing wrong with that. I used to think that was gross when I was a pre teen and young teenager but now that I’ve grown older (18) I understand that there are different people in the world and they shouldn’t be treated like some kind of animal just because they are very different. And it’s insulting, it’s bad enough black women have a hard time in the industry, and now Tyra just so happens to put a black transgender or transexual on the show.This mess is insulting. As a black woman, I’m offended. Black women struggle and fight to be recognized in the fashion industry, and to be taken serious, and Tyra does this garbage. She’s all about uplifting black women, while insulting our feminity at the same time. She has to reduce modeling to this garbage to keep her money coming in, because she didn’t blow up like Naomi. Naomi maybe a diva, but I couldn’t see Naomi doing something as tactless and tasteless as this. I hope ANYM is cancelled.
Of all the trannies, she picked a black one, not a white,latino, asian, etc, but a black one. This was not done, just by chance, because he was the baddest tranny, this was done as a mockery of black men and women.

That model is a male, when you are born you are a male, you are a male. please don’t try to accomodate their feelings by disregarding God’s creation. When we do that we a stepping into a dangerous territory. That man is a man that is living as a female. And tiving these people a platform , is only enabling their mental illness, when we should be getting these people help.

I mean, no disrespect to Isis—if she wants to compete in a competition, then so be it. But, Tyra is so transparent—she must be running out of ideas.
To me, her show seems hella staged—like, she wanted an unexpected awkward underdog to win the compeition, so she let Adrianne Curry win; then she wanted a black woman to win the competition, so she let Eva win; then she wanted a plus-sized person to win, so she let Whitney win.
And now she’s got a man dressed as a woman to get people talking, and up her ratings—typical.

Don’t be surprised if the top honchos of the fashion industry shut Tyra down. But, then she will blame Naomi for her misfortunes, like she did on her show. Quite frankly, I’m happy for Isis! I was shocked as hell when I heard the announcement on 93.9. I’m also a friend from the past (since elem. school) and if she likes it, I love it. This is someone who is happy and making dreams come true for themselves. She’s doing major things and making things possible for the next. In life, we are not always going to agree with friends/family decisions, but we shouldn’t judge cause none of us are perfect by far…we just have to accept things and try to be supportive. We will definitely be cheering you on ISIS!!!!
