okayyy….i personally nvr really minded cassie…I always thought she wasnt a great singer…but like i nvr really tried to bash her. Personally her video was kinda trashy…the plot was simple. Like the person who came up with the story board was thinkin she was selling perfume or something. It reminded me of Kimora’s baby phat perfume commercial from her show.

Cassie has talent. She may not be the best singer, or dancer. But she can show what she DOES have. Aaliyah WAS AND STILL IS; A One In A Million. And Cassie is smart enough to know that she can NEVER be Aaliyah. Aaliyah was intelligent, had self respect for her self. And it’s ashame that after she died, Cassie came out and now is trying to be the next Aaliyah. But that will never happen. Aaliyah IS irreplaceable..NO MATTER HOW MANY NEW FEMALE ARTISTS COME OUT; can’t nobody do what Aaliyah did. Even tho we lost her 7 yrs. ago to a tragic plane crash, her spirit is here. Even though we were blessed with her in the industry for 8 yrs, she still left a legacy. I don’t care how many people think Cassie is “prettier, or a better dresser,” She can’t take the place of Aaliyah. No way, no how. I don’t care how many albums she sells, or how many movies she acts in. She can’t market her self as the next Aaliyah. I think it’s sad that you have someone who came into our world in ’94 at only 15..became the most popular and intriguing female artist of the time.. and put her heart into her music, pleasing the fans, and her acting. Well in my opinion I love the song(and i listened to both versions). Karrina’s voice was too deep and masculine for the concept. I liked Cassie’s version much better and i’m not even a big fan of hers. The lightness of her voice compliments the song and beat. I mean cut her some slack she’s Cassie, not Beyonce’ everyone does not have dat strong Aretha voice, what were u expecting a vocal breakthrough? And if she wore the dress twice SO WHAT. who doesn’t wear things twice, tha dress was hot anyway. And to say she’s swagger jacking? So if every light-skinned girl wit long hair wore a pair of shades you’d say she’s tryna be Aaliyah? towards tha end of her career Aaliyah wasn’t even rockin dat look anymore(leave it in tha teens). all i’m sayin is every artist is different or we’d all be pod people listening to tha same thing
