Ne-Yo is a talented artist but he doesn’t have that it factor. Has anyone noticed that since he’s come out however many years ago…he’s always had something out. He has a fanbase but not a diehard one. He isn’t in demand cause he’s always around. Always tryna be smooth. And not to be superficial but he’s not a heartthrob. He better slow down a bit.
So Sick is his biggest song to date. I think he needs to step back for a couple years…write everyone else’s shit and then comeback big.

Ok, so I’ll be the first one to absolutely HATE this video. Ne-yo always makes me like his songs less when I see the videos. This is so, so very lame. I took this song as an ode to the true independent woman but its not. I know its a video, but see how far you go in the real corporate world wearing your back out in the office and kicking your heels up on the desk. I also thought this was the year of the gentleman. He’s just regular…sizing up every woman in the office he passed…BOOOO!!!
@ goldenlady thats’s not necessarily true. When I worked at Marc Jacobs, we dressed VERY fashionably. We could wear shorts skirts halter blouses and everything. As a matter of fact as long as it was his brand we could wear it no matter how outlandish. Now that I work in an investment firm things are ALOT different. But I still think the video is great, it shows that there is nothing wrong with being a smart woman and still keeping your sex appeal

The video came from the movie Boomerang, with Eddie Murphy back in the day…….I like the video, like the message of the song, but don’t necessarily like the song. Same ole watered down R&B to me.

Noelle, you stated my point exactly. You worked for a designer, i.e. the private sector, not the corporate world. You know better than to go into your investment firm w/ a halter top on. Keep your sexy at the house for your man or your weekend w/ the girls, and take your brain to the job, unless you work at the club. I’m appalled that sexy=revealing and/or unprofessional as if you need to be sexy for someone to notice that you are smart and work well.
