i LOVE the song and the video!! i’m diggin ALL of solange’s new music and i love her style. it’s nice to see that she just does whatever makes her happy and what feels good to her. she doesn’t seem to be trying to please anyone other than herself. i like and respect that.

at first, it seemed like she was just coming out as a “little beyonce” and she realized that wasn’t working.
this time, she has found where she belongs, with this type of music.
not to mention her hilariously sarcastic personality…i think that’s what fully won me over. Solange is quite a character. (“Yes, I LOVE getting up at 5 in the morning and singing.”) Definitely something I would say to the stupid tv show host who, before she was set to perform, said to her, “So, I know its pretty early in the morning, but i’m sure you’re up and ready!!!”

Uhhhhhhh I really didn’t like the Video. I mean I tried to but it just didn’t grab my attention. I feel like her music doesn’t define her artistic side at all. It doesn’t fit her nor does is connect.. This is only my opinion.

My only critique: She puts so much effort into being creatively distcinct from her sister, HOWEVER, the hair and choreography reeks of BEYONCE…I think if she just goes with a differnt hairstyle (no mopre long curly weave..does nothing for her hard jaw line), choreography, lose the eyelashes then the distinction will inally be complete.

Beyonce is mainstream and since SOlange can’t hang on that level, they’re marketing her as the anti-Beyonce. GTFOH! Solange is about as much eclectic as Ashlee Simpson is punk rock. It’s call a marketing strategy people. Wake up! Home girl is not an artist. Plus, I see that she’s going out of her way to make it known that she took part in this video’s production since some people, myself included, criticized her for not doing so in the first video. This chic is too force and it reads all across her face in her videos. Her facial expressions are so vacant and she seems to lack personality. With that said I’ll leave on a positive note. I feel bad for calling her out. She looked nice in the Campbell Soup scene.
Sorry Solange, don’t believe what people are saying. So you have a couple of hundred fans and you did a better job than your last album but you are going to get clobbered in this industry. This album is really amazing. Take it from someone who was not at all a Solange fan. This album not only shifted my views of her but immensely solidified them. She wrote the whole album and the songs are discriptive, personal, and extremely artistic. I really wish the Grammys would have recognized it. Too bad. It’s a special project. I’m diggin’ it Solange.
