♫ WHO SANG IT BETTER: CIARA VS. MARY J. BLIGE ♫

Looks like Ciara and Mary J. Blige have recorded the same song. But it looks like it’s to appear on Ciara’s new album, Fantasy Ride rather than any new Mary J. project. A couple of days ago, it was reported that Ciara just shot a video for “Supernatural.” However, I think a couple of days later, Mary J.’s version surfaced. Ciara’s new album is a three-disc set based around cities. Apparently, “Supernatural” will appear on the “Groove City” portion of Ciara’s new project.

Although we all know who is the better vocalist out of the two, who do you think road the song better? By the way, anyone hear Ne-Yo on the backgrounds of Mary J. Blige’s version?

I like the both of them but Mary is without a shadow of doubt the better singer but it already sounds like something she had before. This song fits Ciara, plus the reminisce bigs up Mary as the veteran anyhow.
I would have to say, let Ciara take it and run with it. Both sound awesome though!
    Do your thang my sisters!

  2. beauty

You all know that on any given day mary will blow that “sheman”out of the water. Ciara needs to stop trying to be like evaryone else, and go find herself. ciara cannot sing. i fell asleep listening to ciara -boring. mary had that raw-soul feel to it. mary made me feel it!!! GO FIND YOURSELF CIARA!!!

  4. no ordinary listener

I’m a big MJB fan…however, considering the beat of this song, and after having listened to it very carefully, i have to say that Ciara sang this one better.

BUT Y’ALL NEED TO STOP COMPARING MARY TO THESE YOUNG ONES.

SHE’s the greatest, the only QUEEN OF R&B and Hip-Hop Soul.

Ciara sang the song well. However, I think Mary’s makes the song more soulful and edgy. It’s about the attitude. In addition, it sounded like Ciara’s version went through the mastering process and Mary’s version didnt. I could be wronged.
