I’m in the process of growing my hair out and my edges are a different texture then the rest of my hair. I can’t manage my edges they curl and frizz up and won’t get straight. They are also very rough. What do you recommend I do with them?

My freind who does hair mix red semi perm dye and black semi perm dye together and that didnt work. My when you looking at my hair in the light you can see some green spots. I am 27yrs. old and I still use Just for Me (the kid perm). It works fine cause I dont want to over perm my hair. The issue is it has grown long and once I wash it - its almost impossible to manage and comb out. I do not blow dry - I let it air dry. I condition always. DO you have any tips or suggestions for after wash tangled and matted hair so that I can manage with out spending hours trying to comb it out.

I’ve had my hair in braids for about 4 months now, I regularly re-do them myself so it’s not a problem keeping them in for a long time.
I usually take my hair out in the summer and straighten it as perms usually damage my hair and I have to grow it back all over again.
I’m thinking of partially putting my hair in a weave just for a new look…I want my fringe to be my own hair along with part of the sides and front, but whenever I go out and get hot my hair reverts RIDICULOUSLY, and I was wondering do you recommend anything that I can put on my hair that’s not as strong as a perm to save me from being uber natural when I get excited on the dance floor - lol?

Hi Ursula, I have been getting sew-ins for about last year (normally giving my hair about a months time to breathe after taking one out) My last sew-ins have been half sew-ins, with straight weave, leaving my hair out for versatility. However, now I would like to switch over to wet n wavy hair, but I was curious to know if it is possible to leave some of my straight hair out and still achieve the wet n wavy effect.

i had long thick hair but i let the wrong person cut it and it was breaking off. i used keracare and it stop the breaking and i use pantine for women of color and its growing back fast… i havent had girl in 4 months. whenever i sew in tracks i only perm the part that im goin to leave out. i actually wanted to try something new after my marley braids. i wanted my hair curly like solonge but still be able to straighten it like beyonce in the diva video but then again stil be able to wet it and it comes back curly. and at the same time what do i leave out in order to part in the middle if i wanted or if i wanted to put a hump in the middle or part on the side to do a side bang. i love teyana taylors hair and i would love to do my hair like that. my hair isnt as long but its thick and its just about shoulder length. how would i be able to acheive the same look?
