For your information Juelz’s father is mixed race NOT Solange so if anything his “whiteness” comes from his dad’s side of the family. Plus your grandparents or parents don’t need to have white in them for you to have a different eye colour, other than brown.

I agree with what Chris said about the African American experience being based on more than visual aesthetics, meaning a half black individual and you are equally as important and add the same amount of value to our rich and diverse culture.
If anything African Americans are a by-product of inter-racial mixing. Beyonce is not unique in that her lineage is not pure African. I promise that if I were to take the bloodwork of ANY African American individual who can be traced back to slavery, their blood can also be traced back to European and/or the genetics of the indigenous peoples of America. We are a unique blend, with African heritage at the forefront of it all, but don’t fool yourself into thinking we are some pure all mighty race. That doesn’t exist in America, for anyone.

@ 139- I am aware that we as black people are all mixed, in fact every race is no- one pure race, but generally speaking within society she is classed as a black woman and that is what she is.
Lauryn Hill is a black woman and is classed as such but if we do trace it back OF COURSE she is mixed, but I’m speaking generally. She and all black people are deemed as black in society. Who calls a black person mixed when they are saying their race? For example people like Usher, Solange, Beyonce, Joy Bryant etc, I sure call them black.
