I feel like we, women, not just black women, need to respect ourselves more and going nude diminishes our worth and takes away from our abilities. While i am aware that SEX sells, so does talent and now the focus is not on her talent, but on her nakedness. It also has nothing to do with the fact that it is Ciara, so it is not a direct attack, it’s the fact that she is a young, talented, black woman who has, like so many others, SOLD OUT…Naked and sexy are not synonyms. We can be sexy without taking it all off. So to comment numbers 147 and 149, it’s not black women hating on black women, it’s black women taking a stand and saying enough is enough. Regardless of what we say, she’s going to do her, so that’s not the issue. I just wish that we stood our grounds more and got ahead because of our talent and gifts.
