It’s been reported that fan favorite Keyshia Cole is back in the studio, recording material for her third studio album, the follow-up to the hugely successful Just Like You. The working title for the third album is rumored to be Love, which was also the title from a huge single from Keyshia’s first album, The Way It Is.
Love is slated to release sometime at the end of this year, and will contain productions from Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and some tracks written by Sean “The Pen” Garrett. I’m eager to see what kind of work they come up, considering that Rodney produced Keyshia’s second single from her last album, “Shoulda Let You Go.”
Keyshia has really solidified herself in the industry right now with the last album, so it should be interesting to see what comes of this third project. In the meantime, Keyshia is working on a movie about her life.
ANDRE 3000 TALKS NEW ALBUM
The Rolling Stone (source) has reported that one of my favorite artists, Andre 3000 is going solo and will be releasing a new album either at the end of this year, or the top of 2009. There’s no exact release date, or title, he added; but he does have a concept.
“It should be dropping by the end of this year or early next year. And I’ve pretty much been working with myself,” Benjamin told Rolling Stone. “I’ve never really been that big on collaboration. I have a concept, and all the soundscapes are already in my head, so I just have to figure out how to get there.”
It was reported that Andre had become disenchanted with performing, and so that’s why little promotion when into OutKast’s last album, which also served as the soundtrack to the motion picture of the same title, Idlewild. Then, there were rumors of dissension between Andre and long-time partner, friend and collaborator, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton. Big Boi is also slated to release a solo album, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty sometime this year.
It’ll be interesting to see who Andre will collaborate with this time around. Also, what he’s going to be doing musically, singing or rapping?

John Legend reveals the album cover for his third studio album, Evolver, due out October 28th. I’m definitely digging what Legend is doing this era. From the music, to the imagery, I think I’m really going to enjoy this John Legend album.

I love Keysh, I cant lie. And Andre 3000 well…I’ve been a fan since ‘southernplayalistic-cadillacfunkymusic’! Now John Legend is just losing me, he is cute though in some cute way.
Keyshia definitely metamorphisized over the past three years into a beautiful individual. I am proud of her. Even though she may not have a stellar voice when performing live, the industry is full of people with enough drive to acheieve their dreams, as she has.
Andre Tres-Mil (3000): I will be anticipating his solo project since as of late, he has been working the set like Lil’ Wayne; turning out cameo appearances on other artists’ records. The music world is ready for an Encore.
Love John Legend, even though, like I mentioned earlier, he isn’t fooling anyone with that bulemic rail-thin butt ugly model as his girlfriend. The music is always on point and he is assuredly my favorite male R&B performer. I will be welcoming his return.

I’m interested in what Keyshia’s album will entail, b/c I did enjoy a few songs from her last effort. But, I’m going to need her to leave the Lifetime TV movie of the week concept alone. I just can’t understand why celebrities feel the need to write a memoir or make a biopic when they just reached celebrity (I use that term loosely) status all of 2 years ago? I need Keyshia to focus on singing and developing a better live performance, instead of the movie concept.
