A lot of new music came out today, but this by far, has to be my favorite! Here’s some more material from Jennifer Hudson’s debut self-titled album. This song is so funny, with the phone conversation at the beginning, featuring none other than our American Idol, Fantasia Barrino! It’s funny that they’d put both of these powerhouses on this song together, it’s a collaboration I would have never expect.
I just knew that at the end it would be a loud shouting fest, and as much as I want to hate on this, I am loving this. The song originally was supposed to have both their J. Records label mate Jazmine Sullivan on it, but they replaced her with Fantasia. You can still hear Jazzy on the backgrounds, though. It has this old feel to it that I just love. It reminds me of those songs (think “Woman to Woman”) I used to listen to in the car with my mom on Saturday mornings on my way to Karate classes.

The song is okay but I really can’t get into songs about women fighting over men. I would’ve preferred to hear them collab on a song with a different topic/lyrics. Their voices sound good tho.

This song is excellent and thanks Brian. I’m so happy you put this up here. A song with emotions and some great singers! She needs a video for this song because it’s another version of “woman to woman” People please stop complaining, one minute she sounds too broadway, next she’s not being herself by doing faster songs, now she is oversinging. Smh what yall want her to do because most R&B singers, like Patti, Aretha, Mary, Melissa Morgan, etc. had heavy voices that were very loud and they are iconic stars. That’s why you have different genres of music.
This is good, I hope the public will appreciate good RnB.

I am so glad that everyone feels the same way I do about the song because both of these talented ladies tore it up!!!!!! I really like the echos in the background, and it’s very old school. OMG, and Fantasia killed it!!!!! I don’t care what anybody says about her squalls, but I love them, especially in this song. Listen at 3:10, do you hear that raw passion and emotion in her voice right here? It’s like nothing of this earth, and everytime she sings, it puts me on an all time high. I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy her album, but after listening to this, I gotta get it because this is the shit! I dont listened to it like 15 times today, lol.

Brian or anyone else here see this girl cut up this weekend at the Kodak theatre, I mean we thought she tore up at the Aretha tribute and when she did ” Somebody Loves You ” Patti cried and so did I as well as some others and at the end Patti passed Fanny the mike and it was on!!!!
Thi girl turned the Kodak theatre out and she looked good too!!!. She is stepping up her game and her vocals were so on point. Wow!!!
