♫ NEW MUSIC: J. HUD & FANTASIA…

A lot of new music came out today, but this by far, has to be my favorite! Here’s some more material from Jennifer Hudson’s debut self-titled album. This song is so funny, with the phone conversation at the beginning, featuring none other than our American Idol, Fantasia Barrino! It’s funny that they’d put both of these powerhouses on this song together, it’s a collaboration I would have never expect.

I just knew that at the end it would be a loud shouting fest, and as much as I want to hate on this, I am loving this. The song originally was supposed to have both their J. Records label mate Jazmine Sullivan on it, but they replaced her with Fantasia. You can still hear Jazzy on the backgrounds, though. It has this old feel to it that I just love. It reminds me of those songs (think “Woman to Woman”) I used to listen to in the car with my mom on Saturday mornings on my way to Karate classes.

    @OyVey! agreed 100%!!!!!!

J.Hud’s pose in that photo looks just like the one Mary J. Blige did on the “Growing Pains” album cover.

To #86-Women still have all that going on and still will worry about a man. One side of us is business and the other personal. Just b/c you have a career doesn;t mean all your personal issues go out the window.

” just can’t get into jennifer…i’m trying hard but everything is so hard and rough…has she ever sung anything soft? i mean, must every song sound like she’s in church? why not just do a gospel album?!”

Agreed J-JUGS has no edge to her. She’s got a very mature sounding voice. Plus, she comes off like a complete phony/bore to me.

I do love me some Fanny though. Fanny can do no wrong in my eyes. That chic is so genuine/real. I love her to death.

“OMG, and Fantasia killed it!!!!! I don’t care what anybody says about her squalls, but I love them, especially in this song. Listen at 3:10, do you hear that raw passion and emotion in her voice right here? It’s like nothing of this earth, and everytime she sings, it puts me on an all time high. ”

EXACTLY!!! Fantasia sings with PASSION. She always puts on a good show. To really appreciate her you’ve got to see her live. She is raw with emotion. She puts it all out there for everyone to see. She’s got soul coming through her pores. She was born to sing IMO.

“The live performance of this song with Fanny is going to help move this album.
Clive and everyone else at Jrecords knows Fanny is the best live female perfromer has has if not one of the best out there.”

No doubt! It is all about FANTASIA. She’s going to make to make people stand up and notice.

That’s nice..just the right balance between both of them…not oversinging it…charttopper for sure!

First, I haven’t heard the song yet but yall got me ready to get off work and go listen to it! Both of them is my girls especially Fanny. She done brought me to tears before so ain’t no telling what this song gonna do according to yall.
Second, I’m bout sick of some of these females up here talking bout how women don’t fight over men no more. I’m amazed because alot of women today don’t like to live without a man so most will try to fight over one! Yes we have alot of independent women out here who wouldn’t (me being one) but lets be serious and grown ups here, WOMEN FIGHT OVER MEN!! Point blank!! Not all but alot for you to write a song pertaining to it and it don’t matter black, white, asian, latino whatever. Look forward to listening to the song.

Their voices are amazing this song like expected them to be, but I am not really feeling this song, I expected a lot more, yet not from J. Hudson or Fantasia, but I thought the lyrics in itself were going to be better. I feel as though who ever wrote it tried to give kind of the “Boy Is Mine” feel to it, but I’m not feeling it.

  10. I love it, it’ like a new age version of Betty Wright w/Shirley Murdock- Woman to Woman. To this day I still love that song!!!! (even though it’s wayyyy before my time LOL)

Go away with that sh*t putting Beyonce #1 and then adding Solange. Get off their nuts already. They wish they could do a song like this and send chills up and down people’s spines. HA

  12. Nuagenda77

Oh and BORED, are you BORED because Beyonce didn’t win the OSCAR but J.HUD did?

@ 9….IF YOU GO TO HER PICTURE, THERE’S ONE THAT SHOWS HER MOTHER WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT JENNIFER’S AGE now, they look as if they could be twins….

JHUD stated as a young girl she wanted to pose as her mother in that photo with the same hair style, & she did….its amazing the resemblence……
