Solange Knowles has been hitting up various events in Milan, Italy these past few days for their annual fashion week. She is pictured above posing with Giorgio Armani at the Katy Perry Showcase At D&G showroom on Monday in Milan.

The singer also hit up the Giorgio Armani – MFW Womenswear Spring/Summer show and the Emporio Armani showcase. As the official Armani Jeans ambassador, it must be nice!

MUSIC NEWS: JANET OFFICIALLY PARTS WAYS WITH DEF JAM

Super producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins exclusively revealed to our friends at Rap-Up.com that Janet Jackson has officially parted ways with Def Jam and is now a free agent.

There were rumors that Janet had been having problems with her label after the release of her second single, “Rock With U,” with speculation that there were discrepancies over single releases and promotions.

“We didn’t get the support from the record company,” Rodney discloses.

“Janet felt like it wasn’t pushed. I felt like it wasn’t pushed correctly. She just didn’t get her just due as an artist of that magnitude.”

POLITICS: HILLARY NEVER WANTED TO BE VP / CHRIS ROCK RESPONDS TO CLINTON / THE TRUTH ABOUT IRAQ

Bill Clinton took a seat on the couch with the ladies of ABC’s The View on Monday for the first time. When asked whether his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, wanted to join Dem. presidential nominee Barack Obama on the Democratic ticket, the former president replied, “Not really, she didn’t.”

She said that if he asked, I’ll do it because it’s my duty. She loves being a senator for New York and has more freedom to develop her positions on the issues and her things,” he said. He added that while Sen. Joe Biden was a “good choice” to be Obama’s running mate, Sen. Clinton “would have been the best politically”.

Clinton said he’d be surprised if Obama didn’t win, but also spoke admirably of Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

Sammie has released some new promotional photos from his new album. His first single, “One Way Street” is impacting radio now, and if you’ve been keeping up with CL, you heard the track in one of our new music reviews. Sammie first came on to the scene back in 2000 with his debut album, From the Bottom to the Top and reemerged back in 2006 with his self-titled sophomore album, Sammie.

“One Way Street” is being released independently, via Empire Entertainment and has been getting some spins in a lot of southern markets. Looks like Sammie is officially all grown up!
