I’m definitely voting for Obama/Biden in Nov. But I feel a shift in this country since the debates and it’s leaning toward McCain/Palin. I think Obama and the Democrats did themselves a big disservice by not selecting Hillary Clinton for VP….but hindsight is 20/20. Not sure they’ll be able to overcome this; I know I’m being pessimistic, but I see the tide shifting and we should all be very concerned.
Please make sure you are registered and go out and vote on Nov 4!!!!!

Mighty funny how Bush is reducing the troops and gas prices seem to be staying down. Anybody else notice that? Just a ploy for people to believe that the Re-pubes are actually going to do something about that IF McCain wins office. Trust, if McCain wins, troops are being recalled, gas prices going right back up! I really can’t wait for the debates. We all know they’re prepping Sarah on what to say but I don’t think she’ll be able to hold her own once she gets out there. I agree there does seem to be a shift to the Re-pubes, but I really believe thats only temporary. Once the hype dies down and she starts talking, the Re-pubes will eventually hang themselves. She keep talking about running with the boys, wanted to be treated like one of the fellas cause she not scared….well, I can’t wait until Biden get a hold of that ass….we all know he don’t mind speaking his mind.

It amazes me that he makes it seem like SUCH a big accomplishment that he’s getting 8,000 troops out of here when there are 140,000 in all here in Baghdad. And the kick is those troops aren’t even being sent home, they’re being redirected to a more dangerous Afganistan!!!

@ JUDAH - False. Barack Obama is, in fact, a natural-born citizen of the United States, for the simple reason that he was born on American soil (in Hawaii, two years after it acquired statehood). The age and citizenship status of Obama’s parents have no bearing whatsoever on Obama’s citizenship.
Any confusion on this point is the result of misunderstanding the legal concepts of jus sanguinis (right of blood) and jus soli (right of birthplace). Here is how the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service explains the difference:
The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees citizenship at birth to almost all individuals born in the United States or in U.S. jurisdictions, according to the principle of jus soli. Certain individuals born in the United States, such as children of foreign heads of state or children of foreign diplomats, do not obtain U.S. citizenship under jus soli.
Certain individuals born outside of the United States are born citizens because of their parents, according to the principle of jus sanguinis (which holds that the country of citizenship of a child is the same as that of his / her parents).
It is a fact that under the provisions of Article Two of the U.S. Constitution naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of president, but this disqualification does not apply to Barack Obama, who has been a citizen since birth.

Obama can DIE anytime..you can DIE anytime..anyone can DIE anytime. That comment was just pure ignorance.
I honestly don’t understand the majority of you guys. You say all these hateful things towards McCain/Palin & Bush but if anyone says anything wrong about Obama they get gnawed to the bone. What y’all don’t realize is A LOT of white people question there vote for Obama because they’re beginning to realize what kind of crowd he’s attracting….not saying that y’all are horrible for stating your opinion but the way y’alls do it is just rude or an attitude like “Obama all day, anyone against shall be murdered” kind of way.
And the Bible speaks about praying for your leaders..why do y’all want everyone bowing down to Obama but yet are so disrespectful to Bush? Are you not realizing this? Intstead of calling Bush hateful things why not pray for him and ask God to lead him in the right direction. Even though you aren’t his #1 fan you can still show respect….believe it or not he IS our PRESIDENT!! I just feel so bad for him even though he has done somethings I don’t co-sign with but people are going over board with this “I hate Bush” crap. It’s enough already.
BTW..The President actually dosen’t make most of the decisions.

I noticed the same exact thing! Everytime I seem him on the news at a rally it is always Sarah Palin talking while he stands to the side. The only thing he says is ” I can’t wait to introduce Vice President Palin to the Congress”
t. lynn,
I noticed the same thing about gas. I thought the prices went up because we were having a problem digging too deep and they needed more technical setups to recruit oil. How did that miraculously begin to change right around election time? Everyone got tax rebate checks the year of elections, and now Bush is bringing troops home? So funny how the republicans play out this election. Their only idea is to win. My friend called this out way back when the primaries first started.

I’m aware that Obama was born on U.S. territory. I bring it up because (allegedly) his mother remarried to an Indonesian citizen when he was six years old and he was given citizenship rights within Indonesia, which does not allow dual citizenship. I want to see if anyone one else has heard anything on this and can provide accurate information before I begin my own research. I wonder why black people don’t wonder why the white man continues to call him “Barack Osama”? Do you think that they are merely trying to associate him with Islam or are they subliminally letting the people in on an inside joke?
@Sigh
The Republicans would only bring up an issue concerning Obama’s citizenship if they are not complicit in the hoax.
@Seabreeze

56 and 51 I just want to ask you a question. Have you looked at the comments on tmz? You should check out the comments about Oprah not putting Palin on her show. You would’ve thought it was a kkk convention in there with so many people calling her the N word, nappy headed, fat, ugly, sorry excuse for a woman, etc. Just take a look at any of the 10-15 pages of it. Not saying that bashing is required at all in any site, but go onto tmz and say something like “why can’t we all just be positive mccain supporters” See how quick they curse you out.
#55,
I am too waiting to see what McCain says about women’s right even with a woman vp. Last time I checked he believe that women should not have equal rights as men and that they shouldn’t be eligible to even make the same pay. I’m an architect and do a better job than some of these men. You mean to say that I still have to get paid less even if this is my dream job and I spect 5.5years getting my masters in it?

JUDAH,
When you do your research then let me know. To me white people call him Osama because of ignorance. They tried to associate his name first with terrorists and then with muslims trying to categorize muslims as terrorists. Muslims have been targeted since the 9/11 attacks because mainstream media wants Americans to think this way. People from Indonesia have no association with Osama Bin Laden when you look at it. Since you like to do a lot of research I sincerely respect that and I’d say check into the connection btw Osama and our government. I think u’ll find that quit interesting. Also check out the history of the U.S. government and Castro. People wanna know how we got the drugs over here, the U.S. made a pact with Castro that if he supplied us with drugs, we supply Cuba with guns. America got greedy and didn’t wanna hold up their end entirely. That’s why we have so many problems with Cuba now. God forbid we keep ticking Russia off we are done.

Who are they polling?
Bush pulling troops in 09? He will be out of office is that supposed to appease America pullinig troops out of a country they should have never been in anyway isn’t osma in Afgahnistan or Pakistan that’s where the fight is…. and I see they left out the fact that more troops are leaving within the next month or so… ..
Bush is playing a numbers game and layering the info that is released of course he is keeping the troops steady in numbers until he leaves office it won’t be any less troops then there have been….
I’m glad these guys are coming home to their families, now what kind of help is there available for them when they get home because in truth some are mentally never the same!

Oh my God you are so extra right. Notice this is also how the primaries went when Jessie Jackson was running in 88. People are always going to find a way to be hateful. Thats the taught behavior of most of us.
“Look at FOX NEWS”, last time I check this wasnt FOX News. If this is a one sided blog them wouldn’t it be just like fox news. Hate and disrespect is hate and disrespect. Indonesia does have alleged links to “Al Qaeda” (if you believe in that). There are many alleged “fundamentalist, extremist, militant” Muslim groups there. I believe the official religion of Malaysia and Indonesia is Islam, if I remember correctly.
I agree with what you’re saying to some degree pertaining to why they attempt to link Obama with the name “Osama” but let’s understand something when we talk about the upper echelons of this society, and planet for that matter, we’re dealing with a brotherhood. The people in power do not believe that the average person is mentally apt enough to decipher who should lead them, and honestly speaking, I agree with them. 90% of people, in America specifically, make all their decisions based on vanity and emotion. Thusly, I don’t believe that it’s simply a matter of ignorance. The Dan Rathers, the Barack Obamas, the John McCains, and the Bushes all meet together and laugh about how they reported a “story”, mock debated each other, and what a performance they put forth in what the average person believes is an actual “debate”.
America is already done because Russia will launch nukes on this place and blow it out of the damn water (Ezekiel 38th chapter).

I’m an independent. It doesn’t mean I’m a slick away from republican. It means exactly what it says, independent. There are independents that vote for republicans and some that vote for democrats. Independents just mean you choose not to belong to a major party so when you vote you are not ever crossing party lines if you don’t like the candidate running for your party. We are the ones both parties are fighting for right now. Since I did research I choose Obama for the run because I agree with the policies he has set forth.
