POLITICS: ‘BLACKS AGAINST OBAMA’ INTERRUPT OBAMA’S SPEECH IN FLORIDA

Friday, September 19, 2008

Democratic U.S. Presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign rally in Coral Gables, Florida on Friday was interrupted by a group of African-American protesters, calling themselves “Blacks Against Obama”.

The “Blacks Against Obama” group, consisted of about 10 African-Americans that showed up at the Obama rally in Florida. The protesters held signs saying, ”Obama was for gay marriage and abortion, and said his candidacy was “endorsed by the KKK.” Another sign said, “Jesse Jackson hates Obama.”

Barack Obama was going to allow the protesters to stay at the rally, but they kept on shouting and interrupting the rally, and had to be escorted out.

#61 - name one reason why you dislike Obama. Oh and I mean one REAL reason (not a reason like the one you posted WHICH actually makes you sound like hater out of envy). #67 - “Yes” Obama’s father is from Africa but back in the 1890’s, there was a wave of slaves who migrated BACK to Africa. You don’t know if his dad is a relative from one of those ppl. Plus his mother is American and most Americans ARE descendants of slaves (even the white ones). So the line isn’t the problem… you’re assumption of his ancestry is.

This is all Due, to a rally against Sarah Palin , in her hometown , the world knows she is a JOKE , and the REPUBLICANS are striking Back , this is all a ,political , retaliation

Read below about,,,,, the Alaska Women Reject RALLY against Palin .

Did it make CNN , or World New’s ????

[The] Alaska Women Reject Palin rally was to be held outside on the lawn in front of the Loussac Library in midtown Anchorage . Home made signs were encouraged, and the idea was to make a statement that Sarah Palin does not speak for all Alaska women, or men. I had no idea what to expect.

The rally was organized by a small group of women, talking over coffee. It made me wonder what other things have started with small groups of women talking over coffee. It’s probably an impressive list. These women hatched the plan, printed up flyers, posted them around town, and sent notices to local media outlets. One of those media outlets was KBYR radio, home of Eddie Burke, a long-time uber-conservative Anchorage talk show host. Turns out that Eddie Burke not only announced the rally, but called the people who planned to attend the rally ‘a bunch of socialist baby-killing maggots,’ and read the home phone numbers of the organizers aloud over the air, urging listeners to call and tell them what they thought. The women, of course, received some nasty, harassing and threatening messages.

I felt a bit apprehensive. I’d been disappointed before by the turnout at other rallies. Basically, in Anchorage , if you can get 25 people to show up at an event, it’s a success. So, I thought to myself, if we can actually get 100 people there that aren’t sent by Eddie Burke, we’ll be doing good. A real statement will have been made. I confess, I still had a mental image of 15 demonstrators surrounded by hundreds of menacing ’socialist baby-killing maggot’ haters.

It’s a good thing I wasn’t tailgating when I saw the crowd in front of the library or I would have ended up in somebody’s trunk. When I got there, about 20 minutes early, the line of sign wavers stretched the full length of the library grounds, along the edge of the road, 6 or 7 people deep! I could hardly find a place to park. I nabbed one of the last spots in the library lot, and as I got out of the car and started walking, people seemed to join in from every direction, carrying signs.

Never, have I seen anything like it in my 17 and a half years living in Anchorage. The organizers had someone walk the rally with a counter, and they clicked off well over 1400 people (not including the 90 counter-demonstrators). This was the biggest political rally ever, in the history of the state. I was absolutely stunned. The second most amazing thing is how many people honked and gave the thumbs up as they drove by. And even those that didn’t honk looked wide-eyed and awe-struck at the huge crowd that was growing by the minute. This just doesn’t happen here.

Then, the infamous Eddie Burke showed up. He tried to talk to the media, and was instantly surrounded by a group of 20 people who started shouting O-BA-MA so loud he couldn’t be heard. Then passing cars started honking in a rhythmic pattern of 3, like the Obama chant, while the crowd cheered, hooted and waved their signs high.

So, if you’ve been doing the math… Yes. The Alaska Women Reject Palin rally was significantly bigger than Palin’s rally that got all the national media coverage! So take heart, sit back, and enjoy the photo gallery. Feel free to spread the pictures around to anyone who needs to know that Sarah Palin most definitely does not speak for all Alaskans. The citizens of Alaska , who know her best, have things to say.

A bunch of pictures of that rally:

That’s exactly my point. I don’t understand why people are so surprised that Obama might have blacks that would protest against him. Since half of the Democratic party voted for Clinton it would make perfect sense that a huge majority of them would be black and might disagree with some of his policies.

This clearly shows that no matter how much people on here claim to be educated on the issues, they still cannot steer away from anything he says/does because of what he looks like.

It really doesn’t matter who wins, either way we still will invade Iran. Troops that going to be “pulled out” of Iraq will be dropped off in Iran. Both Mccain and Obama is for it. And Obama has especially reassured the Jewish community that if he gets in office, he will make sure that they and the people of Israel are safe, by any means. And he also stated that blacks will support them as well…

…And thats basically when I stopped supporting Obama. So it looks like I won’t be voting come November…

And the last time I checked, Iraq, Iran and North Korea (axis of “Evil”) was an outline created by Bush. Its very interesting how whatever man gets into office in November, will inherit and carry on with that plan… And the current issues with Russia is just the tip of the iceberg.

@tmoney

It’s funny how everyone is say the war is affecting them. Were you in Iraq? What part. Truth be told a number of thing The things that you are saying is Bush Fault are not. A little research goes a long way.

Katina: It was a storm. But you know the real damage came from the leeves. Which were built before Bush took office. The mayor and the governor had more foresight on this. Now I was watching TV like everybody else, but I watched first hand how New Orleans did New Orleans bad. You can blame Bush if that makes you feel good, but They elected the same Mayor who was just as much at fault.

Housing crisis: Now if you understand how it started. every since adjustable rates started, during the Clinton Admin, People have been losing their houses. Read other post. Many people were say as early as 2005 that this very thing would happen, but congress refuse to do anything hints “do nothing Congress” So this was coming and smart people go out. Remenber when refi can about in big numbers around 2003-2004.

Tax is tax. Who ever win this election will have to raise taxes. reason being is that congress is going to pass a law to save these companies. Even if Bush vetoed this bill ( which he wont) Congress can and will still pass it.) So Like I have been say on every post taxes is a non issue. I knew that from the jump. No one’s going to bring the troops home with in their first 4 yrs. Why people even believe that is funny. Look at what happened with Nixon and Vietnam. Remember he was elected to end the war too.

97.

So what...12345678

Saturday, September 20, 2008 /

Really JA???…

Nixon was elected to take out the troops in vietnam…a war that the American’s lost! Why won’t you all accept that you lost Iraq and just like vietnam, the Truman doctrine was a failure! You couldn’t contain it so get the fuck out of there!

With war, everyone is affect! You pay for those soldiers to be there…the money you give the government is the same one who pays and deploy these troops…the government isn’t a self-sufficient function; it needs your money. It needs its people to function just like the people need it to function in the society depending on which facet the government exercises its power.

If Bush had this information about the housing crisis, he had 8 yrs to make a difference and he didn’t. One must fix the errors of the past…and he certainly did not.

Just admit you’re a republican and you were the one protesting at Obama’s rally, it will do us all a favor!

Seriously? A little research? Let’s not start getting disingenuous for the sake of trying to sound grand & lofty. Where in my post did I state I was on the front line in Iraq?? Fortunately, I don’t have any loved ones in harms way over there, but there are plenty of people that do and there ARE PLENTY of people who have been directly affected by the war, whether they have personally served there or lost family & friends there. What about the people that do make it out and have to come home to strained families, finances, post traumatic stress, etc . Do a google search of Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital and see what comes up about how some vets have been treated.

Don’t pretend that the war and everything else going on in this country doesn’t trickle down to each and every one of us. Tax is tax?? Then why don’t we all send our tax bills to you then since you seem to think it’s a trivial issue. Nor did I state that Bush is directly to blame for an act of Mother Nature. What I am saying is that as our elected leader he has left much to be desired and any numbnut can see that. I can say that sitting comfortably from my home, what about the people that died and experienced Katrina/Iraq first hand? At the end of the day who was elected president of this country? Not Ray Nagin or any other New Orleans official. If so many people forecasted what was coming what has been done in the last 8 years by Bush’s administration to ease it? And I’m not talking about some supposed “stimulus” package that was a colossal waste of $.

AGAIN - I repeat - The worst kind of an idiot is the kind that doesn’t even know he’s getting bent over!

@ So what…12345678

I’ll give you the civics lesson

First Nixon was elected to end the war and he promised to do so in his first term. It was not until his Second term that he was able to do so with the help of congress whis was dare I say republican( which doesnt make a differnce one way are another). The fact that he was elected to do so and did not is case in point the war is always bigger than one country. The Us is not he only counrty that has troops fighting over there.
I guess that you are not from America, so you really know very little about Harry Turman. He is one of the first American Presidents to work on Equal right while in office. His doctine called for a stop to bullying small countries. Much like Most people call on the US to intervine in African Affairs. This form of doctine goes way back to the french revolution.
Now what you have missed in all of this is the fact that “this War” is being paid for on credit. We are getting money from other nation that’s why taxes have stayed about the same over the last 6 or so years. So this is not tax payer money per say. It really is consumer dollars. The difference. World war two was funded on tax dollars. Soldier didnt get some big pay raise when the war started, we all get pay the amount of money congress set.
Like I said before here in America Our president cant just make make things happen. He has to have the backing of Congress. Two bills went up about housing issues and they where killed in the senate or the house. But they manage to declare 29 new holidays. go figure.
And yes I do identfy as Republican but not for the silly reason most people pick a party. For some reason if their is a Dem that believes like I believe and votes like I vote i would not have a problem voting for them. problem with electon here is most people dont vote their issues, they vote on other peoples issues. My first resposible is my family so I vote on things that will affect us.

109.

So what...12345678

Saturday, September 20, 2008 /

So let me guess Ja,

The money other nations are giving are gifts????? Oh no, they don’t want their money back…they absolutely want you to keep it?? Its not like they have an economy to roll?? US owes money to other nations (cough cough China) and your money is going to have to pay for it! You are affected by the war and its not because your brother isn’t on the front line that you have nothing to do with it!

I’m not an American…but I’m not stupid.
The Truman Doctrine was for big countries to stop bullying big countries? True but it wasn’t applied to africa for sure… The doctrine remained true in the Nixon era…and no, it was no longer for africa. It was to assure the containment of communist regime. Hence why the americans went to Vietnam and LOST! and Let me tell you, your parents paid for that war as well.

In any other countries, including the parliamentary system, the leader doesn’t have much lee-way, but lets keep in mind that your congress before 2006 was generally swayed by the republican agenda while having a republican president. They could have saved the american’s asses 4 years prior to Bush’s sworn into power but they didn’t!! They couldn’t prevent Katrina but they could have certainly prevented this “economic slowdown” according to Bush.

I don’t understand why the bird brain blacks, that think Obama has Christ-like powers, also think that he will have no detractors amongst black people. I think that it’s pathetic that in a country where black people have never been recognized, that blacks think that a politician will get them recognized. It speaks to the massive stupidity, mental weakness, and desperation of black people. Maybe those young black men and women know that Obama has never, ever made any promises singularly to the black community because he must deal with the people who count, i.e white Americans and the nation of Israel. I wonder if black people that watch this clip notice that the “Blacks Against Obama” coalition was shouted down by white people, lol? Does that tell you anything? Shouldn’t it cause the one or two brain cells that you have left to wonder why caucasians have a connection to this man? Maybe because they know that he is for America and is not concerned about that “black stuff”? Do you ever wonder why a young black male or female, that studies their history and America’s history wouldn’t trust this dude? Or do you just believe everything that you see on TV? I think that America is entering into a time period of great upheaval and no man will save it. You dumbass black people will go down with the ship and deservedly so.

Africans don’t claim African Americans because they know that we’re not Affricans. Black people are the only ones that don’t seem to understand how this world or this country works, which is why theu always end up looking desperate, stupid, or both. The Africans are the same bastards that rounded us up and sold us here in conjunction with the white and the Arabs. I agree that black people are monumentally confused and it’s because you have black people that don’t know what it means to be for their own. They think voting for Obama is an example of being “pro-black”. Thatt’s like saying, “I’d rather have a black man pull the power switch on my electric chair than a white man. Black power!”, lol.

WHAT HAPPENED RIGHT IN FRONT OF OBAMA AT HIS RALLY IS EXACTLY WHAT GOES ON EVERY DAY, EVERY HOUR, IN FLORIDA WHEN IT COMES TO BLACK RIGHTS.

MOBS OF WHITES, JUST LIKE THE ONES AT THAT RALLY ARE ORGANIZED AND DEADLY AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO KEEP BLACK PEOPLE SUBSERVIENT, JAILED, KILLED, AND RENDERED JOBLESS AND HOMELESS IN FLORIDA.

THAT VIDEO IS THE EVIDENCE OFWHAT WHITE RASCIST DO WHEN BLACKS COMPLAIN ABOUT BEING KILLED, BILKED OUT OF THEIR MONEY, OR DEMAND ANY TYPE OF FAIR TREATMENT.

COWARDLY SELFISH BLACKS ARE ROUTINELY PLACED INTO LEADERSHIP POSITIONS TO AID AND ABET THE WHITE RASCIST IN THEIR DESTRUCTION OF BLACK PEOPLE IN FLORIDA, AND THEY GLEEFULLY ASSIST. THAT IS WHY THESE BOYS HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ANY BLACK LEADER. THEY KNOW. THEY KNOW THAT A STRONG FAIR MINDED WHITE PERSON IS THEIR ONLY HOPE FOR SURVIVAL. THEY KNOW THAT FROM EXPERIENCE.

IF OBAMA WANTS TO IMPRESS BLACK FLORIDA VOTERS HE WOULD BE SAYING THAT HE WILL WORK TO REMOVE BLACK AND WHITE EVILDOERS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, THE WORK PLACE, THE COMMUNITY, THE COURTS, AND IN GOVT WHO AID AND ABET IN DENYING BLACK FLORIDIANS LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

What I like most about Obama is not only is he an educated, handsome, black family man, and a role model to so many, but he’s so diverse. When he speaks, you can tell he’s very comfortable around people of all races, gender, social classes, etc. That to me, is a true American.

OBAMA 08′

Couldn’t put it better myself; wether you agree with all his policies, or even him as a president, there is an apropriate, credible and intelligent way to protest. This was not it. (…and as for that KKK claim, surely that’s just a blatant lie)

Its funny to me that Blacks who aren’t for Obama are considered CRABS, but the whites who aren’t for McCain aren’ considered CRABS. Blacks always want to have it their way or no way at all. GIVE ME A BREAK!!

i have been campaigning for barack here in virginia, a state that is supposedly a toss up–could go red, could go blue. here in virginia barack’s supporters (black and white) are focused on winning in november. the protesters at that rally are nothing but distractions–like the jeremiah wright thing, like the lapel flag pin, the race card stuff, like the lipstick on a pig brouhaha. these are nothing but distractions. these slings and arrows keep on coming and barack keeps on rising. he is staying the course, working hard and still inspiring. and the naysayers can’t stand it. but they better stand it, they better get used to it. because come January 20, 2009 Barack Obama will be president of these United States.

This shit is getting ridiculous. Every fucking comment I post on an Obama post it gets moderated. If I make a comment on a bullshit post like a celebrity sighting, sometimes it gets posted twice. What the fuck is going with this socialist ass blog? Whatever happened to freeddom of speech and freedom of expression?

I have heard a lot about going to vote and that is great. There are more of us registering. But even more important, is to do it early. You know how it is. I am in Texas and their are some backwards things here still. So vote absenty. And then on the day of the voting you can help others get there and not worryabout yourself and your friends that you tell.

And those folks, forget about them. Get rid of the bad energy (including the republicans) and bring in the new positive.

At first seeing this I was shocked and was questioning Obama…..why would he accept money from the KKK…..I drew many conclusions as to why I thought he would and was growing disappointed it this matter….then I did some research and found that the KKK contributor was actually a former KKK participant who lives in Virginia and is now in politics and is supporting Obama I think it is huge for him to change his views to the point that he is supporting the first African American canidate and for Obama to see past what he may have been associated with in the past is in his past and what is important that we come together to make America a better place where we can forgive and work together for the positive…..some might not agree with my comment and thats cool I just hope people research what is what before assuming or making a statement about something that seems one way when its really another……It would have been cool for Obama to address the issue at the time instead of ignoring it but for him to keep his composure and continue with the speech was commendable too……ight I’m out :-)

That is so disgusting. That’s 10 people too many. Even if they were paid off. . . I’m a broke college student too but damn, you need the money THAT bad? Or you just hate yourself that much?

being for McCain is totally different than being against Obama. He’s a democratic nominee come on now, abortion and gay marriage are typically issues a democrat would be liberal (pro-choice/civil union) about. NOT that either of these were said clearly from his mouth at any rate.

@ Msz. Hewstin

U say Obama’s a “fraud && a liar” becuz he calls himself a christian yet he supports abortion && gay marriage…but im guessin u probably voted 4 Bush who supports abortion as well && is surely enough ALL about WAR, but yet he “claimed” to be a christan man also (when in fact he && his rePUBICans r nothin short of satanist)…&& if u didn’t vote 4 bush, ur surely 4 McSame obviously && oh my HE SUPPORTS ABORTION ALSO!!! …..so what’s ur point?? Really….im guessin u neva heard of seperation of church && state….If u wanna point fingers at “frauds && liars,” plz point away at the republican party cuz all they’ve eva done was LIE their way into office every single time….&& every single time those damn rePUBICans put this country they “care so much about” in recession…PLZ!!!

Damn…..makes me ashamed to be black. If you dont like Obama then fine, vote for McCain…but to interrupt a speech…..Just giving us black people a bad name. You see any white people do that to McCain’s speeches saying it’s endorsed by the Black Panthers?!?!?

Wake up guys!

This is could be a deliberate ploy so that rednecks can be persuaded that not all blacks support Obama. Otherwise Obama will have a political risk of White resentment.

If it was not a deliberate ploy then well and good as it plays well into creating a racial balance in support for Obama

“God Bless America, no, no, no, god DAMN AMERICA. Barack Obama knows what it is like to live in a country run by rich white people”. (Rev. Wright). Barack stated his white grandmother had “typical white ideas”. Barack studied the Koran and prayed the Muslim faith. He denounces his white mother in books. Following Rev. Wright who is obviously prejudiced shows he shares the same ideas as this preacher. A true Christian preacher does not preach against other races but preaches unity among all races. “For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country” (quote from Michelle). Video of Obama REFUSING to put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. This is not the sight of a true patriot. I did not vote for Barack because he is black, I didn’t vote because he is racist and he also voted against medical help for FAILED partial birth abortions. (Go on the internet and read about the process of partial birth abortions). He also supports giving drivers licenses to ILLEGALS.

Why is the white man always blamed for the problems of black Americans? Slavery has been over for HUNDREDS of years. Many slaves were treated well by their slave owners and when law was passed for them to be free, they didn’t want to leave.(But is that ever mentioned?). Also, the black people in Africa captured blacks and sold them at the docks. How are whites totally to blame for this? Black people SOLD black people. Have you ever thought about where you would be right now if you had not been brought to America by “Whites”. You would be in Africa starving to death, overpopulated, dieing of aids and being murdered and slaughtered by your own people.

Another observation-many, many, many times I see black women downtown SCREAMING at their children, CUSSING their children, DEMEANING their children and yes, physically abusing their children in public. I witnessed a black woman with a child not more than three years old haul off and HIT her child in the chest with her FIST. (The little boy was not doing anything wrong). I was mortified. How can the blacks be so critical of whites hundreds of years ago, when they are physically abusing/ screaming at their little children and treating them so savegely? Where you are in life in this day and time is YOUR own choice and your own destiny. You are in the land of opportunity. Stop blaming everyone else and grow up. Listen to Bill Cosby, he knows what he is talking about.
