One thing about Japan is that they are light years ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to technology. So, for college students and professionals, it wouldn’t hurt us to know a bit about what’s going on there. Heck, to maybe even try and learn the language.

If that ish is true about Palin’s daughter, then I guess the appeal that McCain felt she would have with the narrow minded republican base is now lost. Poor McCain clutching at straws, we all know this man about to pick out is burial spot, please!!!!!

RNC is weak in comparison to the DNC last week! In my opinion, I believe that all of the coverage of Hurricane Gustav is a deliberate diversion on the Repubilican’s part to deflect from the lack of substance in the RNC this week. Secondly, they are also trying to deflect attention away from the success of the DNC. Notice that all of this news coverage of Hurricane Gustav started on Friday, August 29th (the day after Senator Obama spoke). First of all, if President Bush was concerned about these Hurricanes that continually hit Louisiana he would have built the levees higher, especially after what happened to us with Hurricane Katrina (remember it took him 4 days in 2005 to get down to New Orleans, then in 2007 with the California Wildfires it only took him 1 day to tend to their problems). President Bush knows better than to cause all of this commotion for a Category 2 Hurricane. I currenlty live in Houston,TX and category 1 and 2 Hurricanes are no reason for 1,000,000 people to evacute Louisiana. What does this mean for us in the future? Everytime we have a Category 1 and 2 hurricane do we evacuate Louisiana? Bottom Line: President Bush needs to build the levees higher. It is our patriotic duty to not be gullible to the government’s attempts to dumb us down. Do not be swayed by the Republican’s attempts to dumb us down, we are smarter than this. Watch how this supposed Hurricane will be the reason for rising gas prices. Not it is not the reason for rising gas prices. If we don’t want gas prices to rise don’t continue these past 8 years, by electing McCain. But I know that everyone who reads this blog is for OBAMA for 2008!. Just inform the uninformed! Thx and God Bless!

What bugs me about Palin is how she just waltzes into the first woman being nominated as a vice presidential canidate after Hillary put in all the hard work and spent a fortune. Hillary made me angry during the primaries but if any woman that was deserving of that position, that would be Hillary Clinton. She is the one that should have made history. Palin is no Hillary Clinton. McCain is using Palin as a pawn.

@23 i hope u were playin. If u were serious, that was one of the most ignorent comments ive ever heard.
we need to hear about things happening about the world around us. we barely know about things going on in our own country, the japanese probly know more about events in our country than we do. Did u kno when sept 11 occured, other countries were as upset as we were and they kept themselves focused on helping our country but when a terrorist attack occurs somewhere else around the world, we only do a 10 minute post on a news channell and we dont think anything else about it. japan is one of the most advance nations in the world…technologically and economically speaking. he was on of the most unpopular pm’s but he still got things done for their country. And also, the japenese and most people outside of the U.S. know everything happening in the world, thats why people believe they are some of the smartest people. so i believe its great that angel is not just talking about souljah boy in her posts but about world shacking issues. quit being so closed minded people and get informed about issues!!
and also im mad i missed barack obama in my hometown of detroit, but i heard he only spoke for 5 minutes or so, so ill probly listen to it on youtube or something.lol

Go Obama,,,, Kelloggs Frosted Flakes are greeeeeeeeeeeeeeat! wow everyone is getting into this campaign and support! That’s big..lol..
A hurricane on the day of the GOP…hmmm ironic almost like rain on your wedding day, it’s like a sign of things to come….crazy…
Hurricane Gustav started out as a Level 3 and lowered to a Level 1. I agree the levees haven’t been rebuilt they have only been stabilized. I doubt anyone there that had been thru Katrina or had seen the impact of Katrina wanted to stay and find out what the results would be Level 1, 2 or 3 this is hurricane season and anything is bound to happen coming off the gulf coast. It’s best just to get to higher ground so evacuation is best.
#23 wow? Why is the PM important to us? hmmmm
Global events are important to all of us at all times. Why wait until the bomb is dropped and then wonder why no one told you isn’t that what happened with 9-11. It’s funny how ignorance regarding current events aren’t important until something goes down. Global alliances are very important so yes the PM of Japan has everything to do with the U.S. No one likes President Bush so it’s important to have a President ino ffice that has good relations with other heads of countries and Japan is our leading ally in Asia…..

Wow I now see why some of yall are on the obama ban wagon.
First of all yes the VP’s Daugther is having a baby. She is 17 years old. It was not hidden from the public this is well known. Everyone in Alaska knew as well as members of the Dem party. And if some of you all would have done reserch instead of relying on word of mouth and gossip blogs you would have known too. What people fell to realize about the Rep Christains, is that they believe in every word of the bible. God knows you before you are even put on this earth, which makes the date conception the start of human life in our eyes. And this little girl is getting married. In the eyes of the bible this is right. I can see by reading some of your comments that a lot of you dont understand this but I can tell you thats why the polls show obama with a one point lead instead of the 9.

I don’t understand what relevance Palin’s daughter’s preganancy has with anything whatsoever. If anything, McCain will use it to foster his “conservative” stance on abortion and “family values”.

Hey people. Yes we do need to be concerned about the Japanese PM resigning. Japan is really is our most loyal ally in the Asian/Pacific region. They are our link to N. Korea, S. Korea, and most importantly, the People’s Republic of China. When something goes wrong in their political atmosphere, it affects foreign policy and established state relationships across the world.

I really do not care about Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy. But one cannot over look the fact that Obama and his family are held to a higher standard (a high DOUBLE STANDARD, that is) than those of the repubulicans. Just imagine if it was one of Obama’s daughters who was 17 and pregnant. Can you imagine the media circus and diatribes that would have been written about her. I can just hear the so called pundits now…”Obama’s daughter is about to have child out wedlock”, “typical black family”, “signs of instability in family”, “lack of morals and values”…I could go on an on. All the aforementioned facts, support my philosophy, in America, if you are white you are right.

It would have been typical black this and that.
I dont hear BIll O ‘racist as shit saying she is unfit like he said the Spears mom was. (Sorry I cant remember the childs name) She is getting praised for being open and keeping the baby. Like they had a frikin choice. An unwed black teenage mother would have been a disgrace. But noooooo they will let that little bastard run around the white house because its white.
And they have the nerve to say Obama supporters are attacking this girl like they knocked her up. Let Palin put her picture up the next time she speaks against birth control and sex education in schools. Frikin hilarious.

Obama did not march in the parade he gave a speech afterwards which was very short and brief. He stated that this is not time for political speeches due to what our brothers and sisters are going through with hurricane Gustav.
