Brandy hit up MTV’s TRL on Thursday to premiere her new video, “RIGHT HERE (DEPARTED)” and just in case you’re wondering, the singer teared up while the video was playing, because she was overwhelmed thinking about all that she’s been through.
Brandy’s new album Human, is set for a November 11th release and word is she is going to be on the Oprah Winfrey Show soon.

Everyone is saying she has been through alot…and technically she has…and even though it was an accident…it was her carelessness that caused the death of another individual…so whatever she has been through has been from her own accord and not what others did to her. It’s really unfortunante…but I feel for the person who was killed and not Brandy. Plus she looks like a frickin bobblehead in that outfit. She’s really played out and delivers the same vibe for over like 15 years now, She really has not showed much growth professionally at all in my opinion.

I love Brandy and her music. She has had some FOR REAL traumatic life experiences, from the two failed, VERY PUBLIC relationships, to being a single mom (and probably the sole support for her family), and the slump in her career. Not to mention the stress and worry of knowing you may have been responsible for someone else’s death and could possibly go to jail for it.
It never ceases to amaze how people are so quick to judge and critize. All I wanna know is…could you survive what she’s been through and pull yourself up out of it like she has? EREBODY has issues – what defines YOU as a person is how you deal with them.
I wasn’t a big fan of “Right Here, Departed” as a first single choice, but after listening to it a few times, I understand why she chose it. And I personally believe she’s talking about her relationship with her creator in this song, and not another person. .
For the record, the woman who was killed in the accident was proved to be at fault for the accident, not Brandy. The woman also had marijuana in her system at the time of the accident, which proved SHE was driving while impaired, not Brandy.

And, whoever mentioned to no cell phone while driving law—yes, it has passed in several states…you are not allowed to talk on the phone (holding it in your hand) while driving in DC…and it’s going to effect in Maryland next year. Why–to prevent those types of accidents!!
