So, it seems as though more Ciara material is leaking after the mixed reviews of her new single, “Go Girl.” Admittedly, it wasn’t what I expected, and I definitely haven’t really listen to it since the day it leaked. I was hoping that I’d allow it some time to grow on me, but I haven’t. “Work,” however, is significantly different. It’s a little more fun and upbeat, and of course, it features the always-experimental Missy Elliott. The song is said to be produced by Danjahandz, and will appear on the new album, Fantasy Ride.

Ryan Leslie just released a video for his new single, “Addicted,” featuring Cassie, but I just haven’t found myself extremely interested in his efforts as a solo artist. All the songs pretty much sound alike to me, and although I think that Leslie is a talented producer and I think he’s very intelligent (the man went to Harvard, for goodness sake), I just can’t seem to get over his corniness. “When We Dance” is no different from any of his other efforts.

If you know me, you know that I’m a Timbaland fan, and this is honestly a collaboration that I never wanted to happen and wish didn’t. I think that T-Pain is a talented guy, but I hope that this song isn’t what Timbaland is prepping us for with his new album, Shock Value 2, which he has already given the public information about. Although I’m a fan of Timbaland’s more urban stuff, I definitely was digging the pop/dance direction that he’s been doing as of late. It’s a more international, global sound and I just like that direction.

Goodness. Yet another track to leak from the Private project that Usher’s boys, One Chance, have been working on for the past 3 years now. Although I think that these are a talented bunch of boys, “These Arms” is definitely not one of their more stellar vocal performances. They have a lot better material than this that showcases their vocal performance. What’s going on with the project, though? Usher isn’t doing anything. He needs to give these boys their shot.

i think ryan leslie is very talented and bringing a different kind of vibe to music..i have loved all of his projects so far..i really think you need to stop showing favoritism towards the artist and really listen to their sound..and how did you becomea music critic anyway..you need to go back to the drawing board..some of your post are corny and wack…sometime i don’t think you no what good music is…you always stick by the people you like and to me aren’t open mind to give other people a change….to me it seems like..if you like the artist personality or that person they will get a good review from you…so just think a lil deeper before you rate an artist

Ciara – Not a good song but I look forward to watching the video. Missy is a hit-or-miss now so I don’t think Ciara needed to chose her as a producer. But I feel that she did so to replicate another hit record like “1, 2, Step”.
Ryan Leslie – His music is beginning to sound the same, but luckily his lyrics are good.
Tim & T-Pain – Nice beat. That is it.
One Chance – I didn’t know they were projects of Usher? I’ve heard about three other songs from them and they are good.

Ciara gets an A for creativity, but I don’t think (hopefully) this will be a single over here. Great potential however, to expand her fan base overseas. But we have to remember, according to the press release, “Fantasy Ride,” supposedly is divided into three discs with one of them has a “house” music them. This sounds as if it would be featured on that particular disc. It definitely bumps though. I like that she’s exploring different sounds.
BTW, I wasn’t feeling “Go Girl” either; I was kind of upset with the T-pain produced track being chosen, since he’s still all over radio. However, the track has grown on me; you can’t deny that T-Pain can make some addicting tunes, even if there only hot for the current time. Hopefully the video can win me over.
Ryan Lesile’s joint isn’t that bad, not single material (not sure if it was said this would be released as one). But definitely this is a nice album cut. I wouldn’t skip it.
Timbaland’s track isn’t that bad. Again not single material, but definitely a nice joint effort between him and T-Pain. I can hear this knocking in the club. Timbaland has such an eclectic sound, I really don’t think any of his music is bad, I’m just like well maybe I don’t get it. That’s why I like him; he’s always experimenting with new sounds and he still manages to keep something in there were you can recognize his work.
Not sure if that was One Chance. But I agree with Brian on this one, Usher isn’t doing anything right now worth while, he should definitely let One Chance get their shine on while he goes back to the studio. I still haven’t coped that Usher album (don’t think I will) but I caught his performance for the NFL kickoff, and his performance was so blah. That garbage he has with Will.I.Am needs to go out of print fast. At least the way they delivered it on stage, haven’t heard the actual record. Usher was gone to long, he let all these younger cats take over. He need to step his game back up. I’m pretty sure he still has it, but it obviously not on “Here I Stand.”
I have mixed feelings about Ciara’s “Work”. The beat is dope, I love Missy on anything but, I’m not exactly about the lyrical content. I know she said that she was going for a “vouge” feel for the dance portion of the album so, I’m assuming that’s why she incorporated the gay terms but, she just kinda sounds corny. But, nonetheless, it’s a pretty cool effort. It doesn’t sound like the mastered version though so, I’m eager to hear what the it’ll sound like when the album comes.
Oh, just like Brian, I was slightly disappointed with “Go Girl”. Since it’s release, it’s kinda grown on me. I understand it’s appeal, I just hope that for the upcoming single releases, Ciara choses something a little more innovative ’cause “High Price” had me super-excited about the project.
The beat for “WORK” is hot, i jus hope this isn’t the finished piece cuz it sounds like Missy’s parts were thrown into the mix.

They have a slight chance of potentially growing on me in the distant future but right now, neither of the songs capture me like her songs off of “The Evolution” or her hits from “Goodies”. I was really feeling “Supernatural”, “Click Flash”, and “High Price” but these past two leaks i’m not feeling as much.
