I was expecting something a little different from a song called “Keep Dancing,” but then again, why? The only thing I’ve really heard from the Ciara project that I’ve liked so far are “High Price” (that took forever to grow on me) and “Echo.” I expected the Ciara’s collaborations with The Dream would be phenomenal, and even though Ciara’s not a stellar vocalist, I don’t even like her delivery on this one. I was behind Ciara full force last time with The Evolution. But I’m not loving anything from this yet…

Check out the new single from British R&B songstress, Estelle. I really love this girl’s voice, it’s like water over the track. I thought that Sean Paul was coming out with a new album as well? I don’t remember, but did he have a single out at one time? I think they sound good together, I like the chemistry. I can’t wait to see what Estelle is going to do with her second US release. She has a good buzz, so she’s gotta keep it coming.

Meet the new Def Jam girl group, Electrik Red. Apparently, this group has been one of the industry’s best kept secrets, but honestly, I’m not all that impressed with this new single, “Drank,” produced by The Dream. LA Reid claims that this is the best album he’s heard in a long time, and insiders have told me that the entire album sounds like the female version of The Dream’s Love/Hate. I was so excited about this group, but now I’m just disappointed.

For some reaosn, I have a feel that this new album is going to be one of my favorites from him, especially if this is direction that he’s taking. Notice the whatever leaks is from Ciara by mistake is pretty weak because artists tend to hold on to the tracks that they don’t want released prematurely. “High Price” was just a slip up on Jive’s part…
“ECHO” – is pretty solid though. Produced by Danja and co-written by The Clutch…very good lyricism in this song….and notice how she repeats (or “ECHOES”) the last word in every other line to tie in with the theme of the song’s title??? THAT’S CREATIVITY.
“WORK” – Doesn’t sound finished but is a potential solid hit. I feel like Danja hasn’t finished putting his more complex touches on the beat.
“YEARBOOK” – Produced by Scyience (Jay-Z f. Beyonce – Hollywood), and possibly co-written by Ne-Yo, because he and Scyience tend to work together a lot nowadays…lyricism is on point here too and you can tell the similarities in the beat of this song and “Holywood” even though it doesn’t get annoying. This song really makes you think…and that’s a GOOD thing in this case. Pretty good vocal delivery here too…
“LOVER’S THING (f. The-Dream)” – Produced by LOS da Mystro (J. Holiday-Bed, Usher-Trading Places)…Written by…The-Dream obviously, lol. The beat is pretty relaxing and Ciara’s vocals here are pretty impressive as she clearly can out-sing The-Dream on her worse day.
“KEEP DANCING (f. The-Dream)” – I’m not even speaking on this one because its not even making the album cut. Sorry, but this one is possibly Ciara’s weakest DEMO yet! lol

Ciara – The song would sound decent if the The Dream was not on it. So far, the best song is “Echo”. If she releases that quickly, then she will see some decent sales.
Kanye – I don’t know why he has decided to sing. It might sound better if Andre 3000 was singing? Just my opinion.

Ciara keeps making hits and misses with me personally. I love the work she in with the song “Yearbook” and i can definitely see it being a potential single, Keep Dancing is something different but I like how her vocals have progressed even further than before. Love Lockdown – why does the live version sound so much different and better? The timing is different and the delivery is different on the studio track. The timing on the chorus annoys me. He really let go when he did it live and it sounded amazing.

Ciara is off to a bad start. I think she is a little lost as to where her spot is in the industry being as though her crunk segment of music is already out-dated and a memory in the industry. Evidence of the fact that Lil’ Jon and his “cult” following are nowhere to be found. Every song CiCi has leaked features another artist, prominently. She needs to go back to the drawing board before the album drops…
As for the Kanye track….I AGREE that his LIVE performance on the VMA’s sounded so much better than his studio delivery. I honestly can hardly manage to get through the entire mastered version because the auto-tune mixed with Kanye’s off key voice is quite annoying. The flow of the live version was so much better…
Eletrik Red represents another lackluster Dream production. I am perplexed as to why, with a group of four girls, the entire song sounds like Kelis from 2 years ago. Furthermore, Dream is the prominent background voice and often I couldn’t distinguish his falsetto from the girls….Another dissapointment.
Estelle’s: I already loved the entire Shine album…adding Sean Paul will make a few more people pay attention and his addition is interesting since it creates dialogue between he and Estelle. Nice job. I am so happy to see Estelle breaking through little by little.
Eletrik red’s track is ok actually.. but I agree with what someone else said, Cherish cudda done it… cus it aint all that good, but better than most of their album.

This is the most hatin ass site I’ve seen yet when it comes to Ciara. This track is tight and so are the ones that have been leaked. Work and Echo are fiyah. Ciara and Dream recorded quite a few tracks together so like everyone else says, this could just be demos and unfinished from a production stand point.
Oh and co-sign on Energy. Track was aight but where did it chart again? Oh yeah, it stalled in the 30′s on the R&B charts. Hmmmm….
