I was expecting something a little different from a song called “Keep Dancing,” but then again, why? The only thing I’ve really heard from the Ciara project that I’ve liked so far are “High Price” (that took forever to grow on me) and “Echo.” I expected the Ciara’s collaborations with The Dream would be phenomenal, and even though Ciara’s not a stellar vocalist, I don’t even like her delivery on this one. I was behind Ciara full force last time with The Evolution. But I’m not loving anything from this yet…

Check out the new single from British R&B songstress, Estelle. I really love this girl’s voice, it’s like water over the track. I thought that Sean Paul was coming out with a new album as well? I don’t remember, but did he have a single out at one time? I think they sound good together, I like the chemistry. I can’t wait to see what Estelle is going to do with her second US release. She has a good buzz, so she’s gotta keep it coming.

Meet the new Def Jam girl group, Electrik Red. Apparently, this group has been one of the industry’s best kept secrets, but honestly, I’m not all that impressed with this new single, “Drank,” produced by The Dream. LA Reid claims that this is the best album he’s heard in a long time, and insiders have told me that the entire album sounds like the female version of The Dream’s Love/Hate. I was so excited about this group, but now I’m just disappointed.

Here is the official, mastered version of Kanye’s new single, “Love Lockdown,” from his forthcoming fourth album, 808′s & Heartbreak. For some reaosn, I have a feel that this new album is going to be one of my favorites from him, especially if this is direction that he’s taking. It’s been said that Kanye has said that this is one of his favorite songs to date. I’m excited.
CIARA – Wtf? I don’t get it? I mean I get it but it sounds foolish..what the hell is the point. And it’s boring as fuck….I ligit fell a sleep on my keyboard drooling away and shiot.
ESTELLE – I love it so darm much!! Very cute..
KANYE – He needs to get over his emotions and mood swings and stop acting like a damn fool. Hate the song..sounds cheaply made. The end sounds like Native Americans prancing around a camfire singing “Ho Ka Hey Wah Nah Ho Ka Hey Wah Nah Woh” I first hated the song then liked it now I absolutely hate it again. The song is just wierd point blank….it’s one of those songs that you HAVE to be in a certain mood to like it.
CIARA CAN’T SING SHE NEEDS TO GIVE IT UP AND GO TEACH DANCE SOMEWHERE. I’VE LIKED ESTELLE EVER SINCE I HEARD AMERICAN BOY. THE BRITS ARE BRINGING IT WITH LEONA, AMY, LILY, DUFFY, ADELE.

I’ve been looking out for Electrik Red since their song “Electrik City” came out. That song is HOT. Ya’ll should’ve posted that to give ppl who don’t know them a good taste. Regardless, I can’t wait for them to come out and I’m happy they finally got signed BUT I’m disappointed w/ the song as well. I know they can do better so I’m not worried. Ciara’s song is WACK. Kanye’s remastered version sound better than what I originally heard BUT its still just okay. Like I think w/ his energy, it would be great live (and I’m sure it would sound HOT in the club) but not iPod worthy. Oh and am I the only person who noticed the church claps??? LOL homes sound like he straight off the holy spirit tip!!!! Its okay, Kanye… we know you FEEL this joint! Poor baby….
FINALLY! LOL the Estelle song took forever to download. After listening to it (and seeing others comments on it), I can tell some ppl DO NOT have her album. If you do, you would notice the song is just the original w/ Sean Paul over it. Seriously, the original sounds WAY better just because Sean Paul adds an “extra”-ness NOT needed. F*** the remix… blast the original.

Humm I see you all like to kill people Nicaraguan style. So i will make it my point to interfere and let life lessons be learned. First of all, most of these records are leaked, a mere sneak peak into the upcoming projects of various artists allowing the audience to adjust their ears to the inner workings of the new sound. Sometimes these selections are a tease of existing artists, some are new artists finding their niche in the industry.
Are we not a dynamic group of individuals that make up the Hip-Hop, R&B community? Full of various cultures and lifestyles? Do you not want to hear different voices, opinions and experiences from your artists? Then why is it that you scrutinize individuals when they are trying to tell their story? Instead of making false claims regarding ones character or behavior, give the artist the ability to come full force and preset a complete package for your listening and viewing pleasure. I must ask you, where are your songs? Your stories? Are you sure that anyone besides you really gives a hey? Probably not. So instead of following your dreams as an artist, you chase after the monopolizing few, and ridicule others on a blog site, well… if thats what you want. I am not here to judge, simply to point out your flaws and allow you to correct them on your own. You call yourself a music man? fine. Then make sure after all this talk you are supporting the artists you love. Buy the album, the concert ticket, the tee shirt. Because if you listen for free, steal the music, then honestly your not the person we are catering to. Let their fans be the judge, and you… yes you.. why, you just sit back down at your computer chair, stare out your window, and chat up with your online buddies and hate your life.
