  27. that's A joke

That song is so interesting , WHY DO BLACK MAN , OUT OF EVERY RACE , HATE SUPPORTING THEIR OWN , this song is a true joke ,BLACK MAN SUPPORT YOUR FAMILIES , STOP CREATING BULL SHIT SONGS,,, ABOUT HOW YOU LUV SISTER’S THAT HAVE THEIR OWN , FOR YR’S ALL BLACK WOMAN , HAVE HAD THEIR OWN THROUGH -OUT HISTORY THAT SONG , IS a insult , to Black WOMAN , how many black single mother’s has had to suppourt their OWN , come on people this is a JOKE, this song will continue to encourage black man in their bull shit , wake up ppl .

I know it’s just a SONG , BUT WHY DO BLACK MAN SEEK NOT TO WORK WITH A SISTER THAT MIGHT NEED A LITTLE HELP .

LIKE TIGER WOOD’S , AND 75% OF ALL BLACK ATHLETES, and Successful black MAN,,,,they marry WHITE TRASH AND OTHER RACES , ,,,and support ,and help them and their broke families .

Did you know Tiger Wood’s Married his friends MAID , poor white trash , and that’s cool ,,, RIGHT , oh i forgot she has her own – A BROOM , AND Blue eye’s

  28. Jamie872006

I love this remix it’s better then the orginial

  29. thicky

I loved this video..its nice that he’s recognizing women who are working hard to have their own. Loved the pic of Bee on Fab’s shirt. The message of this vide..Priceless

    Love you Neyo…xoxo Thicky

  30. TONIA

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVES IT! FABOLOUS HAS NICE FLOW!

  31. Philly

Hot song! To #31 I think your statement is interesting. Wow we have a song that’s big uppin independent woman, that don’t have to depend on a man to get what they want and need and you taking it to a whole nuther level. Wowwww amazing..SMDH, cuz there’s always 1.

  32. that girl

I understand what you are saying #31, congrats to all the ladies, like myself that have it because we worked for it. I’m not quite sure what these songs say about AA or black culture as a whole in America? If you have it all then why would you need a significant other ?Co-sign on people getting on and helping “others and their families”. Just my thoughts….

  33. Celeste

I think the song sets off a good message. And #31, I agree with you to an extent. Because it has been a lot of females makin it as a single parent with no help, but i’ve seen a lot more sittin on they a$$, waitin for they w-2 checks and they food stamps to come in so they could go f*ck it up. It’s not that many females that are workin 2 jobs and goin to school (like me). So i think it’s just a song thats congratulatin any woman that know how to go out in the world and get they own. I don’t think the song is sayin that since she have her own, she gotta do everything in the relationship, it’s sayin (to me) that it’s a relief when they don’t have to do everything since they found someone on their level and not tryna use them. The song isn’t targeted to those hard workin women who is already makin major moves, it’s for them lazy welfare collectin, buyin new outfits when the lights ’bout to get cut off type of females to make them look stupid.

  34. Dame( No one on the corner has swagger like Dame)

    @37

    I agree with you
there are women and men who wants their mate to take care of them. I want my mate to complement me not to take of me because I got my own.

  35. JUDAH

    @31

Lol, congratulations to you, because you picked up on the song’s intent and what it was actually about. Most black women will not be able to do that because these songs are written to cater to the already humongous egoes of black women. Let’s establish one thing; these songs are written and performed by hom*sexuals and they’re actually intended to destroy the family structure because they cater to feminism. None of these dudes in these videoes even want women. They’d rather have a line of coke ad each other. These black men have been raised by black women, have never had a strong male figure in the home, so they use reverse psychology on the black woman to make her think that he is in favor of her empowerment when in actuality he is scared of responsibility.

The only thing that I disagree with you on is that nonsense about 75% of black athletes are with white women. That’s a lie. I’d say 10-15% of famous black men are married to white women, and that’s a high estimation because it’s off the top of my head. It’s probably closer to 5-10%. There are probably more black men that have been turned out to hom*sexuality and bi-sexuality in the entertainment industry than interracial dating. The black woman, on the other hand, is interracially dating in the entertainment industry and corporate America at a rate of probably 60-70% (and that is a low estimation on my part). Look at Eve’s tired, run through ass, lol. She pops up in these videos in between playing the whore for random white men.

  36. tia

i love the song already but the vid adds to it…..i am sooooo glad he didnt wait 6 months to throw a remix out there and do a video to follow…..some people wait too damn long for me..now i will def get ne-yo’s album because i have all the others and i just want to know what he’s doing on this album

  37. tia

omg people and their “deeper” meanings trip me out…..its entertainment jeeez

  38. Ms.314

    WOW! # 31 and # 37. Real Talk!

  39. Intrigue216

This song is hot, just added it to my myspace page. I like this better than the original better. The twins from ATL is this video was very random, where did they come from? Their cute though nonetheless. Keisha was the most fab in the video and Eve’s face looks very crooked to me…

  40. WOW

    @31 THANK YOU .

I just saw my friend fight , her low life husband to support his own , this song say’s a lot of Bull ,,, to me , and i heard that this is his fav song ,

but when he was a nobody she worked with him to get his buz ,,,to a MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR company , and now he’s left her for a broke ass homless White ,GIRL,,,and my friend is not asking for his , but for WHAT SHE WORKED HER ASS OFF , for the last 15 yr’s , she was an attorney and she left it all to support him with his BIZ , .and gave him three little girls ,,,, he should be a shame , MY FRIEND WAS WIFE OF THE GALAXY ,,,, she spoiled his ungrateful ass .

She and a few other sister’s , that has being played like this will be starting a support group to stop Men like this….

And so far , none of these Women needs welfare,,, they are upper middle class working , SISTER’S and half of them are self employed single mother’s .

Sorry, but this song makes me VOMIT, and these ladies do’nt need this song . they feel very much offended by this song .

  41. likeabite

I find it hard to believe that #31 and 37 are not reaching here. The song itself I don’t think is meant for black women and what not. It just so happened to be written by a black man and thus the core audience in the video. However, I think it is meant for all women and there have been songs like this before, ie Independent Women, the Destiny’s Child track…why didn’t anyone bash them for not saying that there are some women out there who can’t take care of themselves and may need a little help? I bet you all of you over here hatin’ on this some was on that independent bandwagon when that song came out. Now as soon as a guy does it you want to condemn him then talk about black men not supporting their women. Why don’t you do the same for them? Just take the song for what it is and stop looking for subtitles that are really out of its range.

  42. likeabite

and #44 I don’t think this track is for a woman scorned either. It is just saying that to all those women who know the value of working hard and supporting yourselves, we men appreciate you. I doubt Ne-Yo is saying that if you supported your dude and he screws you over then go get your own. There is nothing wrong with even being supported when you have your own. It is just a good look to have your own and still be backed by your man when necessary. Your friend has every right to be upset but I think you’re missing the point of the song.

  43. tony

Wow, I have never scene her look so good, the dress is sexy and sophisticated, she must have a new stylist. Thank god, she needs to keep her or him.

  44. Linda

Mama is working that dress, I agree, she must have a new stylist. gO Girl

  45. Diabolical

JAMMIN! I love this track … Finally a song for us with a remix that’s even better than the original. It seemed like writers and singers already tackled being in love with strippers, wanting our body on them and various other things … This one … Ah yes, I applaud them for it.

I didn’t read anyone elses comments coming into this but I will say …

We’re getting heavily over looked … All independent women … Especially the black ones … Cause apparently, if we’re not married with children by 30, its gonna be a hard road to get to with being successful. Anyways … Love this song … Have a great day.

  46. TEY

everyone is a beyonce stan! tyra banks ,fabolous ect.

  47. FallBackHaters

Yay I see Beyonce or should I say Ms Boss on Fabo’s tee.

Love the cameos from the girls, they all look so beautiful.

@ #7- I agree. Jill is beautiful. CL we need more posts on her.

  48. Tiffany

    # 31 # 37 and #45 need to RELAX! It is just a song. It is just entertainment. Not everything has an underling negative connotation. Get real! Enjoy the beat, lyrics and video and keep it moving. I hate when people try to pick apart something so simple and meaningless. Whats wrong with a women supporting herself no matter what race or what type of relationship she’s in…NOTHIN! Blk men being gay or going to white women as nothing to do with anything this song represents, at all. SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY INDEPENDENT WOMEN WHO GOT THEY OWN!!!

  49. lilmoi

    Luv ya Keyshia..Keep Rockin Gurl
I don’t like SUCH songs…they piss me off…And Neyo’s voice is just IRRITATING!!

  50. Mrs. Powerful Beyond Measure

I am so digging this song! It speaks of the true independence of females and most importantly the males that are recognizing those females that are doing their thing, whether you are black or white. Independence has no name or color barrier. Most women are content with their significant other bringing home the ” bread ” and most women are not. Either way it goes… You can be a housewife and still be independent or you have a job or two working in corporate american still doing the damn thing also.

    P.S.
What happened to Jamie’s teeth? In a mintue Fab is going to have all the ladies trying to go and get the Gucci bag ole girl was rocking… Lol!! Sorry babe but I got to get this bag, cancel the second honeymoon! Lol!!!

  51. STLCHICK

  55. VirgoDoll

Doesn’t Ne-yo kinda sound like a woman when he first starts to sing?

  56. Tif
