i honestly don’t even know why i’m shocked to read these comments. they are giving her awards just to give her awards? the woman was inducted to the HALL OF FAME of that foundation, which means she must have CONTRIBUTED significantly to their organization over the years. the survivor foundation is not the only charity she has, she also has the knowles-rowland center for youth that helps inner city kids with their troubles and provides a safe haven for them. she works extensively with the make a wish foundation and here’s a link to a story about her meeting with three kids last week.

I think the reason why people are questioning her charitable contributions is because we RARELY see her out-and-about working for the cause. Many celebrities jump on the bandwagon of committing to a charity without actually working for the cause. Wyclef Jean, Angelina and Brad, Luda…they ALL are seen on numerous occasions in jeans getting out there working for a cause. Quite honestly, since Bee left Destiny’s Child, we don’t get a chance to see that (or her in jeans and tennis shoes for that matter). That’s not to say that she doesn’t contribute, but it might mean that what she does is rarely reported.

Beyonce may just be one of those celebrities that only attend charitable events for the photo-op. But it doesn’t negate that fact that she was rewarded for her efforts. Let’s work to stay positive when people are recognized in a grand way.

Most celebrities draw attention to their causes and charities because they know they have much broader audience than most people and it helps to draw awareness and additional donations and volunteers. I just personally think Beyonce needs to sit down somewhere for a couple more years because I’m tired of seeing her. Everything she does and wears her stans make out to be the most “furious” thing in the word. Something outrageous for someone who’s made a career out of making boot-shakin music. Her songs have no substance and she shamelessly endorses her sister while Kelly and Michelle get the short end of the stick. I even heard that she was planning on releasing her album on the same day as Michelle’s new album.

People who do charity work from the heart don’t usually like to have it publicized. The good deeds celebs do are rarely seen in US Weekly or talked about on the Wendy Williams Experience. Just because YOU don’t know what she does doesn’t mean she doesn’t do anything charitable. You people reach way too much . . .

When I come on these blogs (websites about Black entertainers), I feel ashame because most of the negative comments are mostly from black people.
I notice that with our race that we prefer to tear each other down without giving a helping hand. (I am black too)

Beyonce also does charity work for the Make A Wish Foundation that helps severely sick children. She also does charity work for the Save the Music Foundation that helps music programs in schools. She continues to work with the Ronald McDonald Foundation as well as the Survivor Foundation and many more!

Hopefully, you can be inspired to give back as well.

I believe Kelly Rowland started that charity with her and does most of the work. I think that they both should have been there. I also think she has a glow to her. I think Beyonce is expecting. She looks like she has put on weight in her face, neck, and hips. All the places pregnant women gain weight. But she looks pretty.
