I have to agree with PhillyJawn. I think both songs are Wack. She has already done songs like this before. “If I was a boy”, Bey yells too much. I couldn’t listen to the enitre song. And “Single Ladies” does sounds like “Get Me Bodied”. I don’t know what Bey is on these days, but she need to slow her role and take her time when it comes to the music. Her last album B-day was not all that, although she took a different approach. I hope the rest of this new album does not sound like her first two sigles and I hope that she got other writers on this album, other than herself to help shift the album from becoming a coaster for my drinks. Come on Bey, I’m a fan but this ish gotta stop. Take your time and try to come out with some qaulity hits like your first album. I think your losing your directions and are too focused on other projects.

Ok people! Both songs will definitely have to grow on me. Their not terrible but to be your first singles?? Bey could have DEFINITELY come harder! When “Deja Vu” came out, I was soooo excited! I couldn’t get enough of it! I listened to the radio even more just to hear it. These singles, not so much. I’m a fan, so I’m sure they both will grow on me.
Now this is what I predict. The video for “If I Were a Boy” is going to take the song to the next level, which will make the people start to like it. “Single Ladies” video will probably have the same effect. I think the original version of “If I were a boy” is better. The original is by BC Jean, it is an up-tempo rock ballad(She also wrote it). I don’t think Beyonce’s voice formatted well over that song.I love Miss Bee, I have paid to see her in concert many times. I just want to hear something completely different from her.She has versatility, but it isn’t showing on these songs in my opinion.I just need to hear the rest of the album. Lord knows she aint never gon leave the game but it wouldn’t hurt for an extended break. I think it would give her time to complete something even greater.
