If I Were A Boy is Irreplacable 2 and Single Ladies is a far worse version of Get Me Bodied, with the UH OH’s from Crazy In Love. The Album title has been used by Alicia and so has the If I Were A Boy thing done by Ciara. I know Bee wants to re-gain the thrown from Rihanna but this is not the way. The singles are generic and expected from her. Please go back to the lab and get real with yourself Bee, you just might come away with some good music.

I love both songs… If I were a boy is so unique and I love when she breaks it down on Single Ladies…The new direction is wonderful, a little bit of the old and a lil bit of new flav…. I think the album will be diverse so it doesn’t matter if one song like Single Ladies has that old Beyonce feel to it… I am excited and can’t wait for the album and I wasn’t much of a fan before!!!

For some reason I was expecting something very different?

These songs sound very predictable, especially “If I were a boy”. Very formulaic radio friendly songs. For all the hoopla with her statement, I was really expecting something that was a departure. But then again, I wasn’t exactly anxiously awaiting her new single so I guess I’m probably more indifferent than anything. I think I’ve officially outgrown her music (even though she and I are only a year or two apart), but judging by the amount of comments she’s received, she’s clearly still very relevant so I better be prepared to hear those songs on the radio, everyday allday!

BTW. I thought “Deja Vu” was a much more mature and interesting single. I know people trashed it when it came out, but I think that and “Green Light”, are probably her two best songs (aside from “Crazy in Love”) ever.
