I had a chance to kick it in the studio with Kanye West on Wednesday in California. He was putting the final touches on his latest album 808s & Heartbreak and allowed me to sit in for a couple of hours and observe. The vibe was really laid back and Kanye was playing his Super Nintendo (Super Mario World) and munching on Cap’n Crunch for the first half.
Don’t get it twisted though, the hard work came for sure when Kanye, Plain Pat, No ID and crew were finalizing the drums and sounds of the whole album and since I hit up his listening party/event on Tuesday night, he asked me what my favorite songs were. I’m definitely feeling the new track “Robocop” and told him that needed to be the next single.
