With the release of his new single and video, “Love Lockdown,” fans are very much in anticipation for Kanye West’s new album, 808′s & Heartbreaks, which is schedule for November 25th release. He’s given us a taste of his second forthcoming single, “Heartless,” which finds Kanye rapping again, but lending his own vocal chops on the hook. Rumor has it that a great portion of this album will have Kanye singing (and with autotune).

I LOVE. . . . ME SOME KANYE!!! I Love just about everything he put out! I think his album is gon b the business. But, honestly I might just get tired of hearin the autotune (or whateva its called).
I like it…..one thing I really like about Kanye and Brandy and artists like them is that whenever they put out a song they are actually talking about something. Now don’t get me wrong some of the stuff Kanye says in interviews and on TV I don’t agree with but musically he always delivers to me.

I’m torn on this….the song itself is dope. I wonder when this thing with other artists using autotones in their songs now (Kanye, Lil’ Wayne, Chris Brown, the list goes on) is going to phase out. Some of the material they’ve put out is catchy, but not very creative.

I refuse to buy an album in autotune. T-Pain’s music is not really worth buying in the first place, being as though he is one of the most frequent mouthpiece for the synth-voiced sound. But I hold Kanye to a much higher standard and he is ruining his craft. This 808′s & Heartbreak album will not stand the test of time, in my opinion, if every song contains the “de-tuner”.

LMAO@ voice jiggler. #17, that’s an accurate way to describe it. All that thing does is shake your voice up like you’re singing through a fan. No real vocal skills are required, that’s why I don’t respect T-Pain. If people want a voice effect so bad, they should use the old school talk box Teddy Riley and Zapp and Roger used back in the day. It sounds much smoother and is more tolerable IMO. Well classic songs were made from it so yeah it’s definitely tolerable.

T-Pain actually can sing…I read somebody’s comment about not respecting him… He’s sung on 106 & Park before and he absolutely can sing. He sounds like a 90s R&B boy band’er and it isn’t extraordinary but he still can sing…
