Check out the first single from T-Pain’s new group, Sophia Fresh. Hailing from Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Crystal, Cole Rose and Skye make up the new trio that is currently signed to Atlantic Records.
Skye and Cole Rose signed their first major deal with J Records through Underdog Entertainment in 2005. Although the partnership didn’t work out as planned, the girls got under the wing of T-Pain and added their third member, Crystal. Their official first single, “What It Is” features none other than Kanye West, so the label must really believe in what these girls can do. So you know we gotta ask what you think…
I like this song. No, its not AMAZING but its chill and I am really feelin the beat. I too am kind of tired of the t-pain voice affect because even WEEZY is starting to use it.. Like in Official girl by Cassie.. I see they only used it at the beginning of this song though, thankfully. No, they are not a Ciara or Beyonce or whatever.. but they have SOME talent.. Better than most of the people even commenting on here.. Why so much hatrid towards them? They arent as bad as some of you are making them seem as. I like the song. I voted “HOT”.

def can make a move on this one. but i do hear what ppl are saying with the sound… tpain does need to chill with all that but the group…. i like most of their songs.. esp “superbad” ..and “drop it”. so hope theydef dont become another statistic.
I think the song is hot……. they are hot too. I believe these girls will be the next up and coming girl group. Everybody has to start somewhere and jus because this song may not be as good as ‘super bad’ and ‘forever’ that doesnt mean they dnt have talent. Its not spectaular but i like it.
