First of all I love the braids on Willow, she’s 8, people tend to forget that, I had braids her age, its healthier. And the Smith kids are all cute. They’re KIDS.

Yes it is weave in her head but they are braids. Braids for black hair is good. It helps it to become strong, and makes it easy to grease. She is to young for a perm and sometimes at that age braids, either with her real hair or the weave give a more maintenance look.
It looks better than leaving it in a puff like how Angelina Jolie does to her daughter. Either way people are never satisfied.
I think the girl looks really cute. I like braids I had braids at that age. Before I began getting perms which eventually took out my hair. And at that age wearing a afro is a no-go, you would get picked on immensely.
The type of hair black girls have you can not just braid their hair like pippy long stockings. That is not the kind of hair we have. Our hair would stick up more like buckwheat, unless we get perms or put a bunch of grease and water and slick it down. Either way, the braids are easier.

No Jada don’t need to let her get rid of the braids. I remember loads of us all rocking braids at her age. What would youu prefer she did, rock weaves…no no honey not at her age.
