MOVIE PREMIERES: “THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES” LA PREMIERE
The Los Angeles premiere of the highly anticipated movie, ‘The Secret Life of Bees’ was held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles on Monday night. A lot of celebrities came out in support of the film, including: Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah, Will & Jada, Daktoa Fanning, Eva Pigford, Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan and more.
The movie will be in theaters on October 17th..

Alicia is in NY, promoting the film.
She appeared on “The Today Show” and “Regis and Kelly” yesterday.
Today, she’ll be on “106 & Park” and the “Conan O Brien” show.
Tomorrow, I think that she’ll be on “The Early Show”.
Then, starting this Friday, she’ll be starting the last leg of her tour—which will go on until this December.
So, the chick has been very busy, but I love her dedication and passion for this film.
I read in an interview that she basically begged the studio and the director for her part in the movie. She said that they didn’t think that she was right for the part, at first, but she stayed persistent and they ended up giving her the part without her even auditioning.
Even so, the critics have said that Alicia does a great job in the film; so it’s a good thing that the filmmakers took a chance on her.

the cast is on point, those ladies were made for those roles! now, on the real, did queen lose the rolls in the back of her neck because she is still a chunk of hubba bubba. is jada promoting the 08 chea pet?*sp? dakota is the truth her dress is cute and very becoming of age. Will looks great.
I for one, cannot WAIT to see this movie! Its one of my favorite books, and I think the cast is incredible, and will bring this book to life, and do it some justice.
