Can’t wait to see this! I loved the part from the preview I saw the other night when Angela Bassett said, “What kind of grown man calls himself Puffy?!”. Lol.

  4. CREAMY

I’M DEFINITELY GONNA GO SEE IT. AIN’T NUTHIN GONNA STOP ME THAT DAY…

CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE FAITH & KIM CATFIGHT TOO!!

LOL THAT PART WILL BE CRAZY

  5. I definitely have to make a day to absorb this movie, it looks as though its going to be great! And just imagine when it hits the screen, the love that will be going around knowing you-know-who is going to be President! You heard it first here: It seems as though Black America will be ushering a new era compared to the early seventies and late 80′s/ early 90′s as far as culture, creativity and unity! Let’s pray on that for sure!
    Love always,

P.S: Let’s all also pray that justice will be swift in the Hudson family tragedy and thga our Lord bring some comfort to Jennifer and her people in this darkest of hours!

The trailer looks good, I’m excited. I just hope this turns out to be something we can be proud of. Not like one of those crappy movies filling time on BET in two years.

  7. Blkmarilyn

I am surprised out how good the movie looks. I have to admit I was a bit of a skeptic. But it looks well written and well acted. I will def. be going to see this film. Does anyone know if that little boy in the beginning is Biggies real son?

  8. yeah, that’s his real son. We posted photos from the set earlier this year and Faith was there too.

  9. ROLLINGthruDAhood

WOW! I’m really impressed. Looks like its going to be a great movie!
Everyone will be going out to see this movie.
    Can’t wait.

  10. Seven

Big’s mother was Jamaican, disapointed to see that they changed that. Looks good though.

  11. CARAMEL

This movie definitely looks good, I will definitely be going to see it.

  12. @ # 10 In some parts during the trailer you can tell she is trying to hold on to some kind of accent, but it isn’t as strong as Violetta’s. Maybe it will come off better in the movie.

  13. Dame(Bee season is full swing)

I am going to see this movie

  14. Yumyo

The only problem is that they couldn’t find a better looking wig for the chick that’s playing Faith Evans.

But other than that, the film looks good.

  15. Keli

Wonder how much of it is fact vs. fiction.

  16. Gabrielle Isra

Everything looks decent except that chick who’s playing Lil’ Kim. She just doesn’t fit, but we’ll see I guess.

  17. dee

The movie looks good I will be seeing it, Faith got knocked out yo.

  18. LdaQueen

Im going to see this movie. It looks like it would be good. Its a shame so many of our talented men get taken away in their prime..We love you B.I.G.

  19. Tasha

that movie looks good i wanna see it

  20. LYNDA

i was a bit hesitant about this movie. but after watching the preview it seems like its going to be good.

Jan 16…. I will be at the theater. Wonder what the price will be then … LOL!

  21. li

The chick playing Lil Kim is Naturi, ex member from 3LW, yeah they could of portrayed Kim better, from skin complexion to those thick ass eyebrows, BUTTTTTTTT this shit is still gonna be hot, I can’t wait to go see this!

  22. me and you

I cant wait to see it!!

  23. James

—–Blackgirlsconnect.com—– ? It is really a funny and interesting place to date attractive girls or hot guys. Many hottie videos and photos at this site, you can enjoy latest interesting videos or talk about hot topic with other friends. I’ve met many thoughtful singles who were trying to find true love.

  24. MANDY

It looks waaaaay better than I thought it would.

  25. OB4PRES ( IVOTED)

I must admit I was apprehensive about the movie at first. I still don’t think Biggie was the greatest though. However, I will check out the movie.

  26. NikkiMustSayIt

I’m so happy the production of the movie is in good hands!

And I could easily imaging some fool making this into your typical gangsta movie, and the story is worth much more than that.

I’ll be checking this out Jan 16th!

  27. Mikki.

@ # 20 I’m scared of the ticket prices for january lol but i still wanna go see it. It looks good

  28. Books Instead of Guns! Yeah I doubted this movie at first, but they did really good casting so I think this movie will be really good.

@ 17 Faith was the one takin names!

In her book she knocked a couple of chick’s blocks off, including Kim. Girl was straight gangsta behind the scenes

  29. SUPERstarshine

I’m surprised to see a glimse of Naturi (ex 3LW member) doing a sex scene… she done went and grew up… lol! And I’ve liked Derek Luke since day one so I think I’m going to have to check this one out.

  30. Fauzia

That looks great, im definately going to see it!

  31. Veus

Can’t wait to see the movie, but anyone who grew up during the rap reign of biggie and pac know good damn well that Puffy “diddy” Daddy was second hand to Biggie. He didn’t make Biggie, and anyone who grew up in that time would know that. “He was just the second hand man.” Hate it for the youngsters who gone think that this movie is what really happened.

  32. John A.

^yea i agree,iM 25 and I remember Biggie being that dude and Puffy just being the one that put him on. Anyway Im excited about this movie, cant wait to see it.

  33. Jscene

Movie looks good, but helz no, who is that lame that got playing TUPAC!?

  34. Jscene

I think Tupac was the greatest, but between Biggie and Tupac, they had this shyt on lock.

They died and left us with lame ass copycat fake gangsta wanna be ugly ass jayz! If they were still here, jayz’s ass would still be following big around like a lil puppy dog.

By the way, EMINEM was named best rapper alive in a nationwide survey….

  35. Big M

I agree with everyone else, the movie looks better that I thought it would.

The girl playing Faith looks just like her back in the day. I see Li’l CJ doing his thing portraying his father, that’s a good look.

Not feeling Derek Luke as Puffy, something about him erks me in a role like this…can’t put my finger on it.

  36. nessless

cant wait to see this movie

  37. nessless

Puffy was the man behind the scenes at the time but he was already infamous before Bad boy and Biggie. If you remember the first time Puffy was known and reported on MTV was when he and heavy d threw a charity basketball game in NYC and a couple people died. He also known as the creative force behind Mary J Blige and Jodeci. Being associated with Biggie though took him to the next level.

  38. Theworldwillendin2012

The girl playing Faith kinda looks like Sanaa Lathan, is that her? But i will definitley seeing this movie.

  39. NurseChick

I am THE BIGGEST B.I.G FAN and this movie is going to be HOTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, wanna see the Faye & Kim beatdown, and i’d like to see Faye beat them other chicks down…hillarious!

    R.I.P

  40. SHASHA27

I was not feeling the fact that Angela Bassett was playing Big’s mom…and Natauri from 3 LW playin Lil Kim is even more ridiculous…but I’ll see it anyway…I just hope they’re able to convey Big the way he was…This trailer looks better than the first one I’ve seen.

  41. REDHEADMC

I’m actually in this movie for a couple of scenes as an extra, and I wanted to say a few things about shooting this film.

The director wanted to make the realest depiction of Biggie’s life as possible, as well as getting Puffy/Faith/Violetta/Lil’ Cease/Kim and all them to come together to talk about how things really went down despite what the media tried to project. Kim wouldn’t even be in the same room with Cease if it wasn’t for this film. She barely was, ever. Angela Basset did put on a Jamaican accent, but like one poster said, it’s not as strong as Violetta’s.

And Naturi, despite what you may say, she was GREATTTTT as Lil’ Kim. Wait till ya’ll see the performance scene. She had the attitude, the voice, and the persona down flat. You would be amazed by her. I felt that she gave the best performance BY FAR, and Derek Luke as Puffy is decent, not quite the best, but definitely something to watch. We had a lot of fun taping some scenes as well as basically hanging out and taking the food from the set, haha.

I have not seen all of the film, of course. But hopefully it lives up to expectations.

  42. kadeem lundy

I was apart of this, I was in one of the audience-concert scenes, and I so can’t wait to see this film.

  43. I was never a fan of Biggie but this trailer looks interesting. I’ll definitely check out the movie.

  44. NOT EASILY IMPRESSED

41, I believe you about Naturi! I was just about to type how great she did! She amazed me!

  45. NO ID

derek luke playing diddy alone is worth seeing this film….!

  46. BrownOcean

The whole damn Brooklyn is gonna see the movie. I hope people don’t buy the bootleg so those who put in time and effort can make their money. I will always love Big poppa. My heart BIG these Brooklyn streets.

  47. Anonymous

THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO SUCKS BIG BALLS AND BIIGIE IS SO OVERRATED
TUPAC ALWAYS FOREVER THE BEST RAPPER/LYRICIST OF ALL TIME
BY FAR HANDS DOWN ENOUGH SAID!

  48. KEYSTAR.

47 you need to learn how to spell Biggie before you DARE try to insult him!

  49. Cee

The movie looks of quality, I’ll check it out. I respect Big and what he did for HIP HOP but hands down TUPAC SHAKUR IS THE BEST THAT’S EVER DONE IT! I hope they respect him with his part in the story and protray Pac like he was, REAL!

  50. brittany

I dont care what I have going on i gonna see this film no matter what! I grew during the whole east coast vs. west coast thing and even though Im from cali Biggie was my man! I used to love rapping is part from flava in ya ear…all of his songs go extra extra hard and they still get the parties started and keep them going! From the previews i’ve seen the movie looks hella good and is gonna most likely be one of the best in 09!

  51. Jen

I can’t wait to see this movie, after reading Faith’s book I’ve got a new found respect for her. And I found that I actually liked who she described to be BIG her husband not the rapper she allowed us inside, that was a good book. I look forward to this movie because this was when music was music, I can still remember what I felt when I heard Juicy for the first time, and I still bump One More Chance in my car and IPod.

SIDE NOTE: I find it funny that everyone is talking about how they hope the movie depicts 2Pac and Biggie as they really were. Do ya’ll not understand that unless you were kicking with these people on a daily that you will NEVER know what’s real or fake? I can already see some people getting on here debating about what was real and what wasn’t like they were kickin’ it with Biggie and 2Pac every night.

  52. brittany

Oh Yeah…please people no matter how much of a recession you may be in please pay the $9.50 and go to theater and actually see the movie instead of getting the bootleg from a Wal-Mart parking lot.

  53. Madmen

I am going to check out the movie it looks good but Angela what’s up with the Jamaican accent couldn’t tell if she had one. West Indians stand up.

  54. Tory

  55. FallBackHaters

When I heard they were making this film, I wasn’t in a fuss to go and watch it but after seeing the trailer I’m definately going to hav to check it out. Looks good, the best release this in the UK.

  56. FallBackHaters

And they need to make a Tupac one. Though they are both legends in their own right, I digg Tupac more.

  57. beyonceaintallthat

Looks good, im definetly checking that out.. Did they ever make a tupac movie, they need to make one of Tupac. he was sexy as hell

  58. it does look high quality. not at all cheesy.
    it should be hot.
