DTP artist and formed Def Jam signee Shareefa was due to put out her second album, The Secret earlier this year, but her first single, “On Fire” failed to get any buzz. And after a showcase in NY, it was rumored that Shareefa was dropped from Def Jam along with other former DTP signees, Bobby Valentino and Steph Jones.
But here’s new material from Shareefa, “Mr. Incredible” and “Ooh Ahh,” from her sophomore album. Although I was never really was a fan of Shareefa, I think that these are good songs for her. I actually really dig the production on “Mr. Incredible,” she’s riding it really well. I’m not as fond of “Ooh Ahh.”

I like the “Oh Ah” song… sounds like a hot single to me. I can’t believe she says “pipe” though. That’s a little extra.

Both songs are pretty good. Mr. Incredible sounds like a winner to me. That’s going on my ipod. That’s single worthy. Ooh Aah is somewhat explicit, but it’s cstill ool though. lol
I hate to hear she was dropped for Def Jam if it’s true. They seem to be dropping people like flies. It’s too crowded over there for one thing. I think it’s best for most artists do their own thing independently these days. It seems like only a select few get the treatment they desereve on major labels anyway, while the rest have to fend for themselves. SMH.
But anyway, I wish Shareefa the best of luck. She can definitely blow, and it seems like she’s going in the right direction with these songs.
