Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were found shot to death inside a home on Friday. According to reports, her nephew and sister are missing….
Police have confirmed Hudson’s mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, is one of the deceased. The other victim has been identified as Jennifer Hudson’s brother Jason Hudson.
A search is under way for a young boy who is missing from the home. A child, possibly Jennifer Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew, Julian King, is missing, according to sources. Police are searching for an SUV that was seen in the area, a 1994 white Suburban, Illinois license plate number X584859. [ read more + video ]

UPDATE 7:35 PM ET: Police are looking for William Balfour, who they claim could be with the missing 7-year-old. According to records, Balfour listed Hudson’s mother’s address as a place of residence within the last year. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, Balfour is currently on parole after serving jail time for attempted murder.
UPDATE 8:35 PM ET: Lost in all this is Jennifer’s sister Julia, mother of the missing 7-year-old. We’re told she works as a bus driver in Chicago. Her employer told us she worked her shift today. She hasn’t been seen since.
UPDATE 11:26 PM ET: The suspect, William Balfour, has been taken into custody. Hudson’s newphew, 7-year-old Julian King is still missing. Balfour is refusing to cooperate with cops or supply info.

This is a time when we realize that celebrities are just as mortal as we are. Life is short no matter if your life consists of walking red carpets or cleaning carpets. I can’t even imagine what she is feeling and is praying for her and her family. God be with them.
I hope they find the people who did this quickly even though it will not bring her family back. To lose two close relatives over something senseless is just unbelievable. my prayers are with her family and Jennifer please know that God is going to cover and protect you thru this horrible time.

Someone just told me this was on the news and I happened to be online and wanted to see if it was really true. I am definitely in shock…I was just reading Jen’s story in JET magazine. God bless her and the family during this difficult time. I can’t even fathom what she’s going through right now. I would be out of my mind! It’s just a damn shame how people take the lives of others without a care in the world.
