You sad misinformed people are laughing at the misfortunes of a fellow black man. HOW SAD! Crabs in a barrel is what you all are. U all are just like Robert Johnson hating on Barack Obama, Jessie Jackson hating on Barack Obama, Tavis Smiley hating on Barack Obama, and so on and so forth. I feel that O.J did not kill Nicole and her “guy friend” years ago, I feel that she was involved with drugs and got killed by a drug dealer. You people are stupid! How would you feel if someone robbed you of your valuables? would u not attempt to retrieve them back? I will be the one laughing once his conviction is overturned! LOL!

24.

solae*

Saturday, October 4, 2008 /

you know, he probably WAS setup. Just due to the fact the witness couldnt keep his story straight and lets say he was just trying to get memorabilia back the was originally his kids stuff and he wasnt trying to rob the place - just get his items back. After he killed nicole (his wife) & that guy he went running off on the mouth bragging to any media source that would listen - and writing a book about it - “if i were to have killed me wife..i wouldve done it like this.”… like what NORMAL person would do that shit I don’t think the jury right now cares about evidence. The way he’s been acting for the past 13 years is disgusting and they probably looked at that and less of the evidence. Its a fact, he killed those two. The evidence was there, the prints were there..He just had a good team of lawyers (Cochran, Kardashian & etc). But you know - its just wonderful how things work out and it shows even bad people will get what they deserve. Any other person prob. wouldve gotten 25 yrs or something close to that - but life is even better in my opinion.

25.

GreatestLoveOfAll

Saturday, October 4, 2008 /

He should have been sent down the first time anyway.

But with that said, those crooked white cops were racist as hell towards during the investigation, though. I don’t know if these robbery and kidnap charages were an inside job, a conspiracy to get him sent down after all this time, but they tried to grab every opportunity to catch him and I bet they’re rubbing their hands with glee, at this point.

26.

U idiots are acting just like the masters, after doing a bit of research I learned that one of the main detectives in O.J’s case years ago was Mark Furhman a racist white cop, who framed evidence. I want the conviction to be overturned to day! u dummies would be all upset if your beloved Beyonce got life, why not be upset for a Black NFL icon? Dumb idiots!

STOP with all the conspiracy theories and just look at the evidence

all evidence points to OJ I mean he wrote A book entitled IF I DID IT for goodness sakes I just don’t see how anyone can continue to have their doubts but calling people idiots for having their own opinion on the matter is ridiculous

Saturday, October 4, 2008 /

Whether he did or not remains a mystery. All I know is white people are always quick to catch a nigga on something and make him pay twice, when he escaped the first time. But they ass can’t find Osama bin Laden or, they can’t put these white collar currupt CEOs in jail after stealing X amount of dollar from people.

Yes, OJ deserves what he gets, IF he did it. But, they were on his ass from the get go. He may have been set up. It was a slap in the face for a black man to walk, after 2 white people are dead. This was revenge, that’s all!

I can’t believe black folks are glad another black person is going to jail. Regardless of what he did (or didn’t do) in his past doesn’t justify what just happened in this trial. And we all are going to pay for it somehow. If he can be possibly be sent to jail for life for a non-violent crime what do you think these white folks will do to any other average black person in the same situation. WAKE UP MY PEOPLE AND STOP FEEDING INTO THE WHITE MANS PLAN TO PUT US ALL UNDER!!!.

It just might have been a setup like a few of u say but regardless it was his time to pay…cuz even tho alot of black ppl believed he didn’t do those killings the first time (and me and alot of my friends and family were some of those ppl at the time)….i now believed he did or at least had something to do with it…and the verdict did not come as a surprise

Don't you put that on me Ricky Bobby

Saturday, October 4, 2008 /

Some of say he did it, some you say he didn’t. This isn’t the first time, since the 95 trials OJ has gotten himself into trouble. Some of you commenting were too young to even remember that trial. I will say this, You do reap what you sow. This people is what happens when you believe the hype of white people. OJ was like the Micheal Jordan of Basketball, on a grander scale. He was also a Movie Starr, the first major Athletic endorsee of products. I’m sure some of remember OJ running thru the airport, on T.V. They him think he was entitled, and that he was above the law, sound familar? Now is not the time to make fun, it’s the time to evaluate society, take stock in the company you keep and the people you let hang around you, and make sure you don’t end up in a situation like that.

Karma is a mutha! When he was acquitted of those murders he should’ve just went away and been never heard of again. But he was toooo arrogant and was throwing stuff in the public face with that book that was coming out. May Nicole and Ron rest in peace and may their families rest easier. It was just a matter of time. God works in mysterious ways. He shouldn’t get life though for those crimes. It was his stuff! But we’ll see what’s up.

Simpson should have called the police to get his things back and sued the police for not protecting his rights if they did not do their job. He made a big mistake to do it himself, he knows that people were just waiting for anything to get him on. And he had an all white jury and knew he was going to be convicted, they can never give a black man a fair trial no matter how much they lie on their questionnaires and say they are impartial. The dealers that stole his stuff were vindicated for robbery on OJ. How did they get his stuff in the first place? If they were impartial why was everyone that committed a crime not charged, period. Everybody else was given plea deals to go after OJ only, which skews the outcome to say what they want it to say. The justice system can be so rigged sometimes.

50.

DRB

Saturday, October 4, 2008 /

Why are y’all turning this into a race issue. He commited a serious crime, and multiple counts at that. If it were 1 count, I’d say this was unfair, but since it was way more, he got it. On top of that, most people think he’s guilty for the murders, so what he did then and now, got him. He should have disappeared after ‘95, but he had to have wanted to go to jail, doing the stupid stuff he did.

what’s wrong with you ppl, some of the post on here is just insane, do you not know that this was a set up, they even have the tapes and played the tapes on the news, this was a set up, but the really sad thing is that he fell for it, he walked right into it and now they are going to convict him for something he did or didn’t do 13 years ago, you know in this country a white man can kill you, beat you, rape you, lynch you and disrespect you in every way imaginable and he can go into a court of law and walk away scott free, but that’s not the same for us, he was acquitted of a crime 13 years ago and believe it or not there was somebody trying to find a way to get him and they did. my heart goes out to his family, ppl wake up and realize when you bamboozled or hudwinked.

I understand that in some cases, Black folks can have the crab in the barrel syndrome, but I don’t think this is one of those times. O.J. played himself, pure and simple. If he wanted to go get his stuff, he should have done it the right way by suing the folks that had his stuff. You take those folks to court and get your stuff back. Whether it was a setup or not, he fell for it. He had plans on getting his stuff by bringing his crew with him.

I know that if I was acquitted for double murder, I would be keeping my game underground. He showed his arrogance with writing that book and while it is certainly not just for the jury to factor that in in his current case-BUT THEY DID!! Plus he violated his bail obligations by talking to his codefendent in the case. tsk tsk.

Black Man or White Man-he was wrong and let the chips fall where they may.

BSStinks

Silly O.J., he thought that he was going to remain a free man for the rest of his life.

SMH

I saw Ron Goldman’s family on “The View”, and they said that they didn’t want those new jurors to factor in the killings of Ron and Nicole Simpson into this new case.

They were like, “Focus on the issues at hand, don’t use his past against him.”

Hmmm, I knew that wasn’t going to happen.

These people had the perfect opportunity to throw O.J. into jail. I mean, it would’ve taken an even bigger miracle than his first acquittable, to keep them from not convicting him this time around.

This is definitely a display of karma and prejudice in their truest forms.

But, honestly, OJ only has himself to blame for all of this.

I mean, after he was found not guilty the first time, he should’ve locked himself in his house. Him galavanting all over the place acting like he was a man that everyone loved and respected only rubbed his situation in some people’s faces even more.

So, him being thrown in jail–whether if he was guilty of that particular crime or not–was bound to happen.

Saturday, October 4, 2008 /

Set up it was!! It’s so funny the guy said “he framed OJ” and you happy people miss this. I also see the house nigga vs field nigga mentality on these comments. None of us and I do mean “none” of us was there to know who did it. Only God and the victims know it all people. I don’t know if he did or if he didn’t. The first jury aquitted him and this jury was straight pay back. All white jury, lol! Stevie Wonder could’ve seen thru this circus act in the court room.

By the comments on here also, a lot of you can’t make out the difference between this case and the murder case, so how do you think the “all white jury” was going too?

This case was about his stuff not the murder case and they are not even related. Oh well O.J. you should’ve been smarter. Your ass was targetted and to bad you couldn’t realize that. Like someone said, we have the crooked as CEO’s who steal day in and day out, yet they walk the hell out the court room.

This is nothing to celebrate black folks, nothing at all. Secondly, since none of us was there we should stop judging O.J. on that homewrecker of an ex-wife Nicole Brown Simmons. Yes I said it, none of you knew how she planned with O.J. to deceive his “Black wife” and hurt her. O.J. might not be perfect but Nicole wasn’t just some innocent ex-wife either. I said it and I stand by it.

@ # 59 KEEKEE

Exactly WHAT did dating a white woman have to do with this particular trial?

Focus please! Over here…..that’s right, follow me! Good girl!

Ummm dude was an idiot for taking the law into his own hands over “things” he could clearly do without! This time around; yes he was clearly set up,

And 13 years ago he was acquitted in a court of law. But the court of “public opinion” saw it differently. I mean he even called the feds and the police to investigate the retrieval of his property and they REFUSED to help him - foul!

He should have known that for the remainder of his days as a U.S. citizen he’d have to fly under the radar as much as possible!

@66. Conspiracy..that’s nonsense…he took the bait. Why couldn’t he have gone to court or the police to get his stuff? Why was he in the hotel room in the first place. Why was his voice on the tape? Why didn’t he consult with his lawyer in getting his stuff back? there was no conspiracy about him making the fatal decision (his rational choice-we all know he’s a big man-he is not going anywhere unless he wants to).
I’m sorry but I am not wearing my Free OJ t-shirt this time.

AT 62 years old he should had enough sense to go to the authorities or at least file a report if he though this guy had taken his memorabilia illegally.

I bet the thought he was going to breeze through this trial and get off like he did before.

I think OJ thought he was untouchable, since he got away, IMO, with murder . There are probably a lot of other things he has done and got away with that the public does not know about.

If it walks like a thug, thinks like a thug and acts like a thug then it’s a thug. His dumb egotistical ass go what he deserved.

Life in prison is absolutely ridiculous when you think of the crimes (horrendous crimes that white people commit) and they don’t get anything close to that. What he did was wrong but life in prison is EXCESSIVE by any measure. I wasn’t in the jury box before when he was acquitted but we was acquitted. Why any of you are sitting up here saying justice is served is beyond me…

I saw some of the trial and they case was real, real, real weak. However, when you get away with murder, you need to go somewhere and sit your ass down. Granted they stole his stuff and no one would do anything, but the Goldman’s would have gotten the shit anyway.
