POLITICAL CANDIDS: OBAMA / PALIN / MCCAIN / BUSH / GWEN
Sunday, October 5, 2008

US Democratic presidential candidate Illinois Senator Barack Obama arrives at a rally Saturday in Newport News, Virginia.

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin speaks at a campaign rally at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California on October 04, 2008.

Republican presidential nominee, Arizona Senator John McCain, speaks on the passage of the financial bailout bill October 3, 2008 upon arrival in Flagstaff, Arizona. The US House of Representatives Friday comfortably passed a revised 700-billion-dollar Wall Street bailout, bowing to intense pressure to help avert an economic meltdown.

US President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush walk to speak to the media after touring the president’s childhood home in Midland, Texas, on October 4, 2008. Bush traveled to attend a Republican fundraiser in the town where he grew up.

Gwen Ifill of PBS watches a clip of ‘Saturday Night Live’ parody during a live taping of ‘Meet the Press’ from NBC Sunday in Washington, DC.

I really wish that Concreteloop and other sites would provide information and platforms from the other three presidential candidates from the Green Party, the Libertarian Party, the Constitution Party, and the Independent Party. The Republicans and the Democrats are not the only ones with messages to send to the masses. It is sad that these other parties do not get any attention and are called “spoilers” just because they want to show a different perspective. I find it fascinating that our lawmakers rushed to pass this bailout saying that our country needs this or we will face a scary feature. No one bothered to think about how WallStreet got itself into this mess and the government runs to bail them out. What about bailing out those thousands of people whose homes were foreclosed on this year? What about bailing out those people who have lost their jobs within the past year? Neither Barack Obama nor John McCain have answered these questions, therefore as far as I am concerned, I cannot vote for either candidate. I advise everyone to look into the facts and see what your candidate will really do or will not do for you.

To Young, Gifted, and Black… It’s all a political game. I truly believe that if any candidate would be in favor of bailing out Main St. that it would be Obama. But if Obama would have came out and suggest that idea than it would be Obama is standing in the way of getting things done.

It’s nice to see some decent looking people running for office this time around (John McCain excluded, of course). Barack and Michelle, Joe and Jill Biden, Sarah Barracuda are all good looking and fit! Makes you wish that most of America looked like that too.
Hell, even Laura and Curious George are lookin’ good.
God Bless America!

I hope all these Obama fans hold him down when they realize that we are in AMERICA!! Chances are highly favoring the Republicans again! I’m a black person and I was going to vote for Hilary before Obama, but I refuse to vote for McCain! He is a joke! Good luck Obama, but people need to understand this country isn’t ready for a black leader…not now. Obama could do it, but if and when he loses this election, I don’t want all these minorities to be upset, especially black people!

@ Joe (Keaton 5)
Ok if you are going to put it out there explain what it is. Five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly aiding Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of an investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB). (Note all dems except McCain) McCain was criticized by the Committee for exercising “poor judgment” when he met with the federal regulators on Keating’s behalf. The report also said that McCain’s “actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him….Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate.
Now Obama
Acorn: Large reason for credit problem. Used bully tactic to make loan officer approve loan for low income families who could in no way afford homes. Supporters of Fannie Mae. Oh yea Obama was their lawyer as recently as 2004.
Bill Ayers: This is a winner. Bombed , no was in charge of the Weather Underground group that bombed many federal buildings to include The Pentagon (sound like anyone else we know, hello Osama 9/11). This guy planted a bomb at the home of the wife and kids of the judge overseeing a case involving the black panthers. This is a guy who tries to blow up soldiers and kids from his own country, no jail time, and not only admitted he did it but said he would do it again. Oh yea he was their lawyer.
Obama says they live next to each other and he once sat on a board. The End. Almost true. Ayers gave Obama his first job in Chi-town. Ayers held Obama’s first political fund raiser at the Ayers home in 2004. Obama left New York with no job to move to Chi-town where he land the job on the board of CAC (a fail education reform program from Europe)
Now I’m saying don’t vote for him. Do you. But he knows too many terrorist for me. I stop watching Dan Rather after the second time he went to Bin Laden’s cave.

I agree with the bailout b.s. when in a free market society does the government decide it should have oversight in the market or bail it out when the fats start to get thin. I am just too freaking through, but I agree its politics, Obama would have committed political suicide had he not agreed to that b.s. I am hoping that they can re-write this wrong once he is in office. People legislation and laws are fluid, it takes a long time to make things permenant but they never sray as they first were introduced–at least–lets hope. And the tax breaks given to the wealthy what the hell Democrats are you serious, that is the only reason that bill passed in the first place. Yes, I want Obama as my next pesident but I do not believe its going to be a complete overall of the the last 4 centuries. Come on people.
I just dont want someone who cannot even tell me where Pakistan is to be number 2 in case number 1 cannot complete the term.
BTW her name is Gwen Ifill for the ignorant cotton pick’ng negros in here who just talked about her teeth, she comes from a prominent family of educators and professionals and is the only black woman continually selected to serve as moderator of the president/ v.p. debates. So while you look at her teeth she is being a part of the important process while your lazy ignorant asses just make more ignorant comments.

I will be so glad when we vote so this can be over. I am getting really sick of this mess. McCain/Palin have no plans that is why they can only talk about Obama because they have nothing to offer. I don’t trust this town hall debate tomorrow. I think the Republicans will have it stacked.

It is a sign of our poor educational system that you folks have no sense of history. Obama is a communist, pure and simple. His political agenda hasn’t been seen in this world except in Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela. I would love to hear what you all think is so cool about Obama Bin Laden. This guy does all he can to avoid revealing his past or his full political agenda. He wraps his message in the “I care about the people” “I feel yoiur pain” insincerity so long used by tyrants to entrap feeble followers.

I wish whoever “JA” is would get a life and go join the McCain campaign or something, because they are wasting their time on this site…everyday is the same thing, trying to argue with people about this BS. Anyone who supports McCains nonsense throughout this campaign is silly to me. I would have more respect for McCain if he would have run a more responsible campaign and talked about the issues at hand instead of trying to smear Obama every five minutes (because he knows he’s losing), considering that McCains party has been in Power for the last 8 years and he has supported a vast majority of the policies that have helped drag our Country into the ground…you would think he would have tried to run a more responsible campaign. McCains own people just said that they know if they talk about the issues that they will lose this campaign…what type of message is that sending to the American people? Basically they are saying that they are desperate and dont know a damn thing about the economy and what is going on, so they will use the same tired antics to try to win (just like Bush). I wonder what “JA” has to say about McCain being photograughed having birthday cake with George Bush the day after Hurrican Katrina hit and the rest of the world watched New Orleans drown…you probably have nothing to say about that. Yet McCain is going around talking about he’s about the people..GTFOH! That is all

remember folks this is the home strech and the republicans are going for the juggler. right before this 2nd debate here they come to the table w/ this cloud of negativity trying to get into that intelligent [obama] mans head “its all about timing”. its time to rise above these type of smear tactics and stay on point after you get that “last punch in”, how we are going to find our way out of this fine mess, that them folks have got us into? shit even stevie wonder and ronnie milsap can see through this. its the same ol republican strategy of the 80’s era per reagan and bush. its a wonder [palin and mccain] ain’t pulled ‘willie horton’ out their ass. then again we’ve got 29 more days to go. don’t let them get in your head YOUR BIGGER THAN THAT…………………….

LOL @ 41. Ja maybe you should read your own post. You described something that McCain was INVOLVED in. Yet, you described someone that Obama only knows. Until you can give me evidence of Obama INVOLVED in terrorist attacks, then your post in meaningless. This is the same deal with Rev. Wright. Rev. Wright isn’t running for President and neither is Ayers. Now this man is highly educated but for some reason, he is at fault for trying to help. Bush is a bumbling idiot and McCain really isn’t any better than Bush. Yet he’s a maverick. Wow! I’m just going to leave it at that.
