POLITICS: BALLOTS SAY BARACK OSAMA / MCCAIN SAYS HE’LL WHIP OBAMA / ‘REPUBLICAN MEANS SLAVERY’
Monday, October 13, 2008

Three hundred absentee ballots in Rensselaer County, New York included Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama with his name spelled “Osama”.
County Democratic Chairman Tom Wade said, “Of all the letters to hit by mistake, unfortunately it is a mistake which negatively impacts our Democratic candidate for president.”
Elections officials on both sides insist it was nothing more than a simple typographical error. Republican Commissioner Larry Bugbee added, “We have three different staff members who proof these things and somehow the typo got by us. We really apologize.”
Officials issued new ballots to all 300 voters since any corrections on a ballot nullifies a vote. The Obama campaign announced it was “glad officials are working to correct this error and we assume it won’t happen again”.
MCCAIN SAYS HE’LL WHIP OBAMA

When Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain face off in their final presidential debate Wednesday night at Hofstra University in New York, McCain says he’s going to “whip [Obama's] you-know-what”.
Speaking to volunteers at his campaign headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, on Sunday, McCain said:
“After I whip his you-know-what in this debate, we’re going to be going out 24/7.” McCain immediately added: “I want to emphasize again, I respect Senator Obama. We will conduct a respectful race, and we will make sure that everybody else does, too.”
And I’m telling you, we’re coming on and we’re going to work 24/7 for the next — who’s counting — 22 days…I’d like to give you a little straight talk, we’re a couple points down, okay, nationally, but we’re right in this game. The economy has hurt us a little bit in the last week or two, but in the last few days we’ve seen it come back up because they want experience, and they want knowledge and they want vision. And we’ll give that to America, and I know that we’re going to win this race.”
The final debate, which will have the same format as the first, begins at 9pm ET, and will broadcast on major networks ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, in addition to cable news channels such as C-SPAN, CNN, Fox News and MSNBC. The topics include domestic and economic policy and at the end of the debate, each candidate will have the opportunity for a 90-second closing statement.
‘REPUBLICAN MEANS SLAVERY’
The vandalism of the York County, South Carolina GOP campaign headquarters is the latest racially-charged event of the presidential election. Volunteers discovered the words “Republican means slavery” spray-painted on the door Saturday.
They also reported about 45 candidate signs had been stolen and a banner with a picture of John McCain had been spray-painted.
Recent McCain rallies have incited spectators to yell comments such as “kill him”, “treason” and “off with his head” when they refer to Sen. Barack Obama.

Seeing that ballot with Barack name spelled wrong just made me sick to my stomach. Obviously a mistake made by a racist republican. When will the madness end? And how do we teach our children to do right when the government that runs the country steady does wrong?

Black people, as long as white men are on the face of yo money you will NEVER be free. Osama, I mean Obama ain’t gone save nobody. No matter how many rappers or Aunt Jemima’s are worth over $100,000,000 you will still be slaves. Period. The only way out of that is denouncing this sad as culture, dropping out of the system and live a sustainable life. Money is the root, money is the shackles.

I’m sorry, mistake or no, that was really offensive. I can’t see how it got past 3 proof readers. No matter what they say, that was intentional, and just plain wrong. Republican politics at their best.
No words for McCain - none are necesary.
However, off topic, but I’m tripping on how the bipartisan panel in Alaska found Gov Sarah Palin in violation of the state ethics law that prohibits public officials from using their office for personal gain with regard to the firing of Public Safety Commisioner Walter Monegan because he wouldn’t fire her state trooper soon-to-be-ex brother-in-law, and this is getting no news time whatsoever. I didn’t hear about it on CNN all weekend. But YET, they keep talking about Barack’s connection to Bill Ayers. What is really going on? What is really the truth?
Palin has already ABUSED her power - wouldn’t you think that would be more newsworthy that the slanderous comments about Bill Ayers and Barack?

***Looks at the keyboard***
Bullshit, this is no fucking typos; this is deliberately done. We are in a battle of the minds here – a psychological warfare. They know how the minds work and if they continue to put it out there that Obama is a Muslim or anti-American (as if any black man should be pro-America), they’ll somehow lodge the notion in people’s minds and they wont vote for Obama. I can see if it were Ovama or Onama because both letters are next to the “B”. The “S” isn’t even close. They are full of shit.
What else is McLame going to say? “Yeah, I am going to take an “L” Wednesday” No he is going to toot his own horn and try to insight his base.
See, this is just the magma that’s boiling beneath the surface ready to erupt in one of the biggest race wars in the world. So I suggest racist bastards and Uncle Toms put away with this “Kill Him” Off with his head” crap because black people know how to speak the language of hate, too.

MCCain and Palin:

White people are afraid. They’re afraid of Obama becoming president because they’re afraid of losing power. That’s what this is all about…POWER!!! And with power comes control.
This is why blacks became slaves. We couldn’t speak up or wasn’t allowed to educate ourselves because we were controlled by the powers that be. Once we gained knowledge it became a problem for them because we were also gaining power. Why do you think these evil folks at these McCain rallies are so scared? For the most part McCain and Palin played on their fears with this “he’s not one of us” crap. They fell for the bait. This is not totally The McCain Camp’s fault tho. These people that come to these rallies already have deep rooted racial issues anyway. In a nutshell, they’re ignorant. What about that woman who stood up and took the mic at McCain’s rally and said she didn’t trust Obama because “he’s, he’s, he’s, he’s an Arab” Bull****! Now you all know what she really wanted to say.
They’re using this excuse that he’s a terriost or he has terriost ties to cover up the real reason why they don’t like Obama.
When Obama becomes president, I am afraid of the backlash that will be inflicted on African Americans. It’s hard enough that we’re discriminated against on a daily basis when it comes to jobs, housing, healthcare and etc. I’m just hoping things don’t get worse with his presidency.
I just wonder how things are going to be between blacks and whites AFTER the election. I could be wrong but I’m sensing a lot of tension.

At this present time of 11:30 est I’m watchin MSNBC where McCain and Palin are holding a rally in Virginia Beach. Now if this isn’t the most racist shit I’ve ever seen on tv. Its a shame seeing all those white people yelling No Obama. All minorities/muslims need to pay attention to these last few weeks of the campaign because if a blk man is getting racially slandered in public by white people across America…..what makes you think that it won’t happen to your race if they were to run for president.
Also minorities need to stand together cause we have all been through it under this “white america”. We need to quit dogging each other and understand that we have the power if we get educated, look out for one another, and let people know that we are not going to let put the wool over our eyes anymore. Look back in the history books and look at the broken promises that minorites had/are dealt/dealing with.

Yeah as if they DIDNT MEAN to do that shit with a so-called “typo”. What a joke.
I’m sick of this berating of Obama at evey step, while indirectly poking fun of Arabs and Muslims. It’s not just black people in America getting hurled abuse, what about the millions of peaceful, non-radicalized Muslim Americans who’ve been at the front of a smear campaign since 9/11? The white man still breeds fear, hate and intolerance over anyone who’s not Caucasian.
So glad Obama is such a class act, and doesn’t entertain this shit.
McCan’t and Failin are still trying to dig their way into the White House and in less than a month to go, are probably gonna find a few more ways to discredit Obama.

The name change is clearly not a typo. Ignorant, racist, and xenophobic. Too bad Obama is still leading in the polls.
But let’s not ignore the vandalism likely done by our own people. Republicans were the party that ended slavery, not the other way around. In the 60s and on, the Democratic party then became the party of civil rights. Know your history and why you support the party you do.

For those who worry about the race relations if Obama were to win shouldn’t worry.
There is a significant portion of African American people who live better than most white beer chucking trailer trash. Heck, some live better than the average white family, yet, with this money, they do nothing for the community. They catter to the system and live by their own means.
Its not like more jobs will open up for blacks if Obama is in power. Blacks will be simply content with the way things are going because if its not broken than it doesn’t need to be fixed…the system that is.
Revolutions normally mean that the wealthiest of the proletariat incite those who have little in order to combat the bourgeois. That hasn’t happened yet with the black community.
However, if Obama does happen to lose, than I do believe that the African Americans will get what they’ve always wanted. They’ll get mad and they’ll get even!

Everyone knows this was not typo. IT was done purposely which is why non of the proof readers saw a reason to fix it. They all should lose their jobs. This is a huge race issue no matter how you try to ignore it. The fact that a black man has the possibility to be in one of the highest chairs scares many white people, not all, but many because they are use to being in power. Palin who has the iq of a 6year managed to say the word Sambo and people tried to overlook it. McCain allowed a woman to call Obama an Arab and only said he’s a proud family man, but couldn’t say he’s an American. All these little underscore things. People can say “off with Obama’s head” and “kill him” but if someone says that McCain is allowing his supporters to disrespect Obama then he calls for Obama to denounce the man.
Osama or Hussein are cultural names from another country and for people to only think of terrorists when those names are mentioned or associate muslims as all being terrorists just shows the ignorance and brain wash of this country. Osama Bin Laden is not going to be caught. He was trained by our military, treated by our doctors, guarded by our CIA, and his family was allowed to fly out on the day of 911 from our FBI headquarters. We will not catch him because our government doesn’t want to. We are in Iraq while the “terrorists” are chillin in afghanistan. People wake up please and notice that this war is over oil. Iraqi’s are setting off car bombs and things because they are protecting what is rightfully theirs. Wouldn’t America do the same if they come over here trying to steal from us?

Some Important things voters should know:
1.Do not wear any paraphenalia to the polls when going to vote. You will not be allowed to vote.
2. If you are voting absentee like college students, please remeber to send your papers in NOW to receive the absentee ballad.
3. If you are voting absentee check your ballad and make sure everything is spelled correctly. IF not immediately order another one because they will throw away your vote if the absentee ballad has typos on them.
4. Put on some comfortable shoes for the day of voting. Lines will be long and people will try to tell you there are quicker ways to vote by doing this and that. Don’t be fooled or lazy. Wait in line no matter how long it takes!
Go out and vote people. If you can avoid voting absentee by going to the polls then please do so. Gore lost because they didn’t count the absentee ballads in many states saying they were late.

fyi it was the republican party that freed the slaves and was pushing for reconstruction and trying to integrate the former slaves into american white society this shift of democrats representing the majority of black didnt occur until fdr’s presidency and it was lbj passing the civil rights act that made most southerners leave the democratic party…

It was very necessary. What are you afraid of? I’m just getting to the root of all of this.
Burying your head in the sand makes you just as ignorant as the people at the rallies. This is no time to be a coward and you sound like you are one.

But ask yourself why they freed the slaves. It damn sure wasn’t out of the kindness of their own hearts. They saw no other choice. At that time the black race was too populated. We began to educate ourselves and underground railroads were forming.
There were too many of us verging on a better way of life. Of course, they didn’t have the opportunities that we have today, but they worked with what they had and set us up for where we are today.
I believe slaves were freeing themselves long before the republicans did.
