POLITICS: MICHELLE OBAMA SPEAKS TO MILITARY FAMILIES

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

mo1.jpg

Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Barack Obama came to my city today (October 7th) for a rally in support of military families. She also spoke about the current economic crisis.

More than 1,500 people came out to the local Recreational Center in support.

“This community has done so much for this country,” Michelle Obama said. “We are so grateful for the sacrifice you made to protect our family and all American families.”

Jacksonville, North Carolina is home to thousands of active and retired military service members and family members, so this is a very relevant topic in this area.

Here are a few photos I took at the event.

I know that’s right Michelle. Smart move too, since those southern military voters are critical to have on your side going into tonight’s debates.

Good pics too Angel.

Michelle works out 6 days a week at 5am and she is 44 years old. Her picture is in my closet so every morning when I go and get my running shoes I see her and I wake right up! If she can do it with her crazy schedule, so can I.

YES WE CAN! Be physically fit!

The debate was good. Barack gave specific points. McCain was blah blah blah.. I ended up falling asleep. I caught some of the commentary on CNN and they all said Barack won tonight. Yeah ,That One what was he thinking. Him and Sarah have these undertones when they say specific things. One thing I like about Barack is people who go see him represent America. Whenever I see McCain and Palin all I see is older white people. As if he only cares for the white Americans. McCain has yet to say anything about what he plans to do. I can’t wait to vote early.

Michelle Obama was so funny last night. After the debate John McCain patted Obama on the back to get his attention and shook his hands pointed to his wife Cindy and Obama shook her hands. Michelle deliberately turns her back so she wouldn’t have to acknowledge either John or Cindy…hahaha.

She was like, you’re not gonna be talking all crazy about me and my husband and expect me to shake nasty deformed hands…hahaha.

@ 10, was too ticked at McCain for that comment, like Obama is an “it” or something. Obama was not fearful of McCain at all and I was getting frustrated with Tom Brokaw for trying to hinder him from talking back at McCain for his accusations and proud Obama did not let it slide. It really helped his case. McCain improved with looking at Obama this time, but its hard for him to keep his racist disdain from coming out. That sort of thing turns people off and drives the undecided and black Republicans toward Obama. If he and Palin keep it up and it will cost them the White House.
