POLITICS/VIDEO: OBAMA’S CLOSING ARGUMENT
Monday, October 27, 2008
Senator Obama told voters on Monday that “we are one week away from changing America.” Delivering what his campaign billed as his “closing argument,” Obama told a crowd in Canton, Ohio, that “there’s so much at stake” in the week ahead.
In his speech, Senator Obama told voters that after twenty-one months and three debates, Senator McCain still has not been able to tell the American people a single major thing he’d do differently from George Bush when it comes to the economy. “We cannot let up for one day, one minute, or one second in this last week. Not now,” he said. View the video above or read the transcript.

I want Barack to win sooo bad… please yall go out and vote! if your state has early voting PLEASE take that oppurtunity and use it to vote for Barack Obama. If u dont vote then when things aren’t to your pleasing you have no right to complain. For real yall, we are TOO CLOSE to makinh history! Hell we as a people deserve this! We as a people have been oppressed for CENTURIES and its time for a change, and yes i know that everything aint gonna be all happy go lucky… we’re still gonna have it hard, but this would be a HUGE STEP towards progress. If u can vote on Concrete Loop’s “who rocked it better” then surely you can vote in this life changing election….. OBAMA 08… CHANGE

That is my President. Barack Obama is the man!!! If people don’t vote for him then, I don’t why. Maybe it’s ignorance or just slow to embrace change. Barack has delivered his message he has been consist with the issues he includes the people. Not just Black but white, Hispanic, Asian and Native Americans. I like that he is for the people and does not speak of just a particular part of the country, pockets of the country but he spoke of a United America. As I watched his speech I was happy that I am alive to see a Black man get such a reception from all nationalities of America. Not for sports, rap music, being lazy, or criminal but a Black man who is known for his intelligence and one who has forever changed the way politics will be ran in the future hopefully. I think Barack will open doors for other minorities who thought Presidency was out f the reach.

Black people and Hispanics, you know they say that we are all talk. They say we only get hype in the moment but on Election Day we are too lazy to get out of bed to vote. How impertinent? It is for this same reason, in the past, we were the “unheard” the “insignificant group of people” because it is perceived that we do not vote, hence rendered powerless on issues. Let’s prove them wrong this time around make sure you register to vote. I know in my state, CT, deadline for registering is today but if you turn 18 after today, you can register up until next Monday.
For the first in the history of politics, let these politicians know the power of the “Minority” vote

I voted on October 20th. I was serious bout mine! I also packed up my mom in MY car and took her to the polls. There would be no excuses this go round!
I am VERY, VERY proud of Barack Obama! He WILL be our next president. Think about this guys, John F. Kennedy predicted that there would be a Black President in 40 years………….guess what….he was correct!
Also, please keep lifting your prayers up for Barack and his family, because the KKK members and others will do everything in their power to scare, mislead, and terrorize US. However, I’m sure that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and even Malcolm X are smiling upon us!
Obama 2008! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND EVERYBODY ELSE!

A change is going to come in one week ! ! ! ! Obama Y’all ! ! !
MARK NOVEMBER 3rd ON YOUR CALENDARS
November 3rd has been marked the worldwide day to fast and pray for
Barack Obama between Noon and 1:00pm ; giving up one meal for the day.
Instead of eating, pray for the following three things:
1.Pray for the Hand of God to move in a mighty way over this election.
2.Pray that this election will be handled in a fair and honest manner
and in a way that pleases God.
3.Pray for the protection of Obama and his family.
[ Note: If you are on medication and have to eat something during that
time, ask God to speak to your heart and tell you what to give up ].
Mark your calendars for Nov 3rd and pass this email on to all Obama
supporters!!!

That was such a powerful speech!!! Obama is so inspirational; a change is coming but we must be part of the change. Please get out & vote; its your right. We all know what the people before us had to go through in order to receive the right. Let’s all make history together! His speech moved me so much that my eyes got teary because he speaks the truth; he seems to be genuinely concerned with how the middle class get by in these trying times that we are facing. He’s like a breath of fresh air!!!! “OBAMA 08″. It was touching when he began to talk about the lady whose son has a heart condition & went on to discuss hope when you feel that others are pulling you down; it was extremely moving to say the least.
BARACK THE VOTE!!!

@ #26 an absentee ballot is for voters who will not be in the state that they are registered in on election day, whether it be due to vacation, medical, moving, etc reasons. For example, I registered in my state of residence, Virginia earlier this year, but I just moved to Illinois last month. I can’t vote in Illinois because I’m still legally registered in Virginia. I had to get an absentee ballot for the state of Virginia, fax it in to the City of Norfolk (where I used to live) Voter Registration office. They in turn sent me an absentee ballot. You have to turn in your absentee ballot by mail by 5 pm on Nov. 4th election day. Hope that helps!
