EXACTLY TRISH. I think the issue we all have with Beyonce is that she’s saying she wants to be a legend and yet everything she’s done is derivative of the greats who’ve come before her. Nothing is her own. I wish I could love Beyonce but the women who came before her were legendary because they brought their own style and changed the game. She is merely a poor 3rd generation copy of someone greater i.e. Tina. And it sounds as if the people who really think she’s amazing are just too young to know any better and/or remember who came before.

Who danced like Tina before Tina? Nobody. Artist in the day were creative and didnt need to steal…. Now with Beyonce, she takes from Tina, Diana, and every other artist and pulls wool over eyes like she is paying homeage….. when in fact Beyonce is counting on her younger stans to not know who did what before her, because its looks like she created everything herself.
Example: When Single Ladies video leaked and everyone was saying Beyonce stole dance from Fosse, she went on to 106 that same morning and said she was paying homage to Fosse. This is a lie because if the Fosse video wasnt found by someone Beyonce would not have said she is paying homage, she would let people think her and her people thought of it.
