It has nothing to do with popular music; but, more so being a leader, like working hard, and having inspirational, motivating music. Ciara has done that, if u listen to her music, and she works extra hard. Yall can’t be critics if yall don’t listen to her material, so come correct, before coming at all. Rihanna music is not all that inspirational, and neither is a lot of other artist. That’s why Ciara, not anyone else, received the award. Some of yall need to go back to the early stages of grade school, and learn how to read, and read the context clues, main ideas, and support, cause it’s sitting right there. I completely agree that some of yall need to get that reading comprehension in check. Ciara is always talking about uplifting others (including helping out tiffany evans, and directing that one chicks video for glamour magazine) and I have yet to see another female artist put herself aside to help up and comers. Plus she does alot of things with her fans (the mcDonalds thing, six flags, etc.) so she is definetly woman of the year material.

And with her new album, I think they are giving her an award right before she blows up because I just heard that song with enrique eglacias and that has international hit written all over it.
