Ciara holds her award at the 3rd Annual Billboard Women in Music Breakfast at the St. Regis Hotel on Friday in New York City.
The singer/dancer received the Woman Of The Year Award, which honored her success as a recording artist and leadership in embracing the changing music scene. Other honorees included, singers: Colbie Callait and Debbie Harris.
Ciara also turned 23 yesterday, so Happy Belated Birthday to her!

What genre of music has Rihanna started or been a major part of since the very beginnng? *crickets* NONE! Please, homegirl don’t even write her own shit. She doesn’t set trends, her stylist does. (Six Flags, McDonald’s, Candies fight against teen pregnacy, etc.) Ciara is more than an entertainer. She’s a effing role model. Eat that, Rihanna stans.

Um…congrats to Cici. She is a fab entertainer. But, what exactly has she done in the past year to deserve this honor? I am not being flippant or anything becuase maybe I missed it. I thought she was on hiatus and working on her new cd. I didn’t see her doing anything that would qualify for such an honor. But, she may have done a lot on the low. Not everybody needs to be heralded for every move they make. I have seen more contibutions from stars with a cd during that period like AKeys and Aids in Africa. Again, not kocking her honor.
