And furthermore, since when was MJ ever expected to teach black youth about being proud of your race and heritage???? What about the lousy ass black parents who ostracize and alienate their dark skinned children, or keep putting ideas into their heads that only light or white is beautiful? Parenting, lack of education, slave-minded, illiberal colonial attitudes ALL start from the home. I’m so sick of people blaming celebrities for their children turning out rotten. Maybe if the parents taught them about how beautiful being black is, instead of reinforcing stuff like bleaching cream, or relaxed hair or something, black people wouldn’t be wrapped up in self-hatred.

And furthermore, other races who are exposed to white, European standards of beauty are STILL proud of their own culture, and call themselves accordingly (Arabs would call themselves Arabs, Indian an Indian). It’s strange how black folks have to be constantly reminded of their blackness just so they aren’t ashamed of being black. Then u have those people who try to deny their black heritage by saying they have Native American in their blood or something. Like remember the Kiri Davis video which re-created that black/white doll test? I mean, what’s so fucked up is that Asian, Hispanic, Indian, Arab, etc families can give their daughters white dolls to play with during their childhood, but DESPITE that, these girls (and children in general) don’t grow up self-loathing their own race and wanting to be white. I guess it comes down to the plain fact that the black family unit has broken down beyond repair. With that, strong pride and honour of the black race has broken down, because there is no proper family or community network. Most of the other non-white people in America have stronger family values and this binds them to their culture and self-assurance in themselves.

The lack of “self-worth” so many African Americans suffer from is ONLY because of crappy parenting and letting the media bring up Black American youth. Black parents are solely to blame in my opinion for the self-hatred going on. This problem is exclusive to our people and nobody else.

I don’t see Muslim women taking off their hijabs and trying to dye their hair blonde to look European. Like I said before, conditioning from the family to help kids be confident with their culture is vital to what they turn out like.

It seems as though people are still buying into the hype/lie that Mike somehow bleached his skin. With all due respect I ask people to do their research. Are you not aware that Michaels` personal physician testified in a court of law that he does indeed suffer with the skin disorder “vitiligo”? Who knows his medical history other than his physician? It`s certainly not the media; do some research. There seem to be a lot of comedians “wannabes” but you fail miserably.

While it`s true that Mike has made some errors in judgment the man is a masterful showman/entertainer/dancer/singer. Even today no one can touch him. People can say what they want but the bottom line is if Mike were to appear and perform on some awards show/special we would all be glued to the television set as he captivates us. The brilliance of Michael Jackson is simply undeniable.

The voice and his slick dancing moves are second to none. Even today his songs are still being played as this generation are introduced to this phenom. I thank God and my mother that I was born at the right time. I witnessed Mike in his prime from The Jacksons “Destiny” album to the current time. The “Off The Wall” album was the beginning of a phenom, named Michael Jackson. This album would be followed by “Thriller” and “Bad”.

He and Quincy Jones were like hand and glove as they made history and introduced a new sound that to this day has yet to be equalled. Quincy, the maestro, and Michael with his soulful voice were a great team. Their contribution to music will forever live. So say what you will about MJ, his legacy will forever stand. When I think of Michael Jackson I see the brilliance of his performing skills.

The worldwind like spins, the poppin`, the moonwalk, his trademark poses, his James Brown moves, etc. His “Motown 25″ as well as his performance on The Grammys in `88 are still etched in my memory bank. I ask you to go to Youtube and pull up these performances as well as those from his concert tours starting with the phenomenal “Bad” tour. That tour was absolutely “SICK/AWESOME”.

There will never be another MJ and I simply refuse to allow the “mainstream/white” media diminish my love for him. When I think of MJ, I think of that phenomenal voice and a “MASTERFUL” showman….period.

Yeah, one other thing. Some believe that Michael is lost as far as his identity. Are you not aware that Michael started traveling to The Mother Land, Africa, way back in the 80s? To this day he still travels there all the time as he revealed in his interview with Ebony last year. Whenever he goes back home to Africa he is literally mobbed from all the love that he receives. Since the 80s he`s had a relationship/friendship with Nelson Mandela.

Did you know that he also has a relationship with Min. Farrakhan to this day? Min. Farrakhan speaks of a telephone conversation, on YouTube, that they had just recently during his time in Bahrain. The minister speaks about Michael in high regards and knows the deal with the mainstream/white media when it comes to MJ. It`s we who can`t see through their vicious/vile games.

He would have turned completly white eventually from the illness.
