Check out the Midi Mafia-produced new track “Quickly” from John Legend and Brandy. I’m already a fan of Brandy’s vocals, and I’m really digging John Legend’s new material from his upcoming third studio album, Evolver, which is due out October 28th. Their tones match really well together. I definitely think that this should be a single from Legend’s new set. This record really is amazing.

Although this song is old as dirt, here’s a new remix of M.I.A.’s single, “Boyz,” featuring none other than Jay-Z, from her second album, Kala, which has picked up a lot because of the success of the latest single, “Paper Planes.” I was a fan of the album before, but it seems like people are just now getting on it. M.I.A. will rerelease Kala on November 4th (it originally released in August of 2007), while Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 is rumored to drop in December.
♫ London – You Should Be Loved (full) – REMOVED
We featured London in our Hot or Not section. He’s one of the latest signees to Universal-Motown. It’s good to hear some new material from him. “You Should Be Loved” has the 80′s pop-synth sound that everyone has been going for lately. I guess the closest thing I could say it feels like is Usher’s “Trading Places,” but not over-produced, with a more organic feel to it. London needs to get out a new single to create some more buzz.

Check out the Darkchild-produced “Heavy,” an outtake/bonus track from Joe’s new album, New Man, which dropped on September 30th, with little promotion. There’s nothing spectacular to be said about the song, which is disappointing, because I pretty much felt the same way about the album, and I hate saying that, because I enjoy Joe as a vocalist.
John and Brandy equals great greatness.

I can’t hear the Brandy and John L egend song. MIA I remember when she was first featured on MTV she was playing during the commercial breaks on the show that was on at the time. Joe his cd was okay nothing like the last one which was good. I saw him this summer and he is great live.
That John Legend go hard, I like his voice with Brandy, That’s the only thing I listened to though.

John Legend and Brandy songs I love the lyrics I listen to lyrics first before the beat or anything else. They sound great but Brandy doesn’t sound any different then she normally does.
Joe is one of my faves although I thought I was going to ban him for his Obama issue but he took care of it.
His voice is beautiful but his song sounds good, but they all sound the same now. He needs a new lane and to excerise his voice more.

I don’t 100% like the John & Brandy song but I do like it better than the 1 or 2 songs I’ve already heard off his new project. I love Brandy’s voice and I just realized how much I missed hearing it. Thing about the song is that I don’t think it’s crafted well…it’s all over the place… track & lyrics. I mean are they talking about love or are they talking about politics? I know they’re trying to mesh the two together but it’s a stretch. How come no one can craft good songs any more?
By the end of the song I was bobbing my head to it so it will probably be a hit, esp. after we see the video.

Brandy kills the vocals on that J Legend track. That was a great duet. That should be his next single. ‘Greenlight’ is my song right now. Didn’t like it at first listen but it grew on me. Looking forward to Evolver.
I disagree with you Brian in regards to Joe’s cd. This cd was better than his last. Joe is my favorite male vocalist. He’s always so slept on yet he produces some of the best R&B. I can see how ‘Heavy’ was left off of the cd. It’s not impressive at all.
I saw MIA in concert here in DC, she was so hype. Great performer.

John Legend an B Rocka is on point… I am really dissapointed that they have postponed the album… I was anxiously awaiting the album, and now I fear that it will get overlooked because of the B Fever that is getting ready to hit:) I am a big fan of Bee and Brandy ( cant compare the two they have two totally different styles) so I just hope Brandy gets the recognition she deserves:) She has been in the game for a minute and is the most consistent artist so far as quality albums I know. She doesnt put out bull and you can tell she really puts her time into the record, and is not looking for a club hit!!!

I think John Legend’s unlike most artist is going to surpass anything he has done before every song I have heard is amazing. I liked him before but I think he has become my favorite new artist maybe Brandy should have let him produce her album Wow.

I heard her first album when I visited the UK in 2005 and I just loved her sound instantly! I got Kala when it dropped last year and was hyped when I first listened to it, my fav is Hussel. I’ve been hearing her music on commercials and in movies. T.I. sampled her on Swagga Like Us feat./Jay-Z and it’s cool but they should have gotten her on the track instead of Kanye.
